Unfortunately we came here for the playground that is almost non-existent. Slides, poles and safety rail have been removed. Beautiful park with nice shades trees though. Playground: Slides, poles and safety rail have been removed.
We were there for a vending event so I didi not see much of the park. However, it seems like a nice little park. We were near the ball field , and the lighting for the outside of it was gorgeous!
Beautiful! I visited from out of town and was impressed by how large this park was and how conveniently located it was to other businesses. I am confident I didn't get to experience every inch of this park. However, from what I did see, there is plenty to do! There is a great amount of greenspace for your friends and family gathering needs! And with that being said, parking did not appear to be an issue. There seemed to be several trail and path options to explore! I valued being close to the beautiful aquatic center and having access to all of the fun events taking place at the park. The day I came was full of family, friends, and laughter. The events and thrill of experiencing the local events and Aquatic center just topped it off! I hope your experience is just the same.
Nice views while walking around the lake! Also fishing. You can feed the ducks and geese. Me and my friend walked 4 wks ago! Nice day dry and cool.
AFZER ALL THE YEARS I WAS IN TN, CAME BACK HOME HETE TO EVANSVILLE THIS PARK STILL LOOKS TJE EXACT SAME I LOVE T...i met my mom amd sisters out here and all tje ducks tho they was mean lmao
Bosse field's Otters baseball game was so fun to attend
Several nicely placed picnic tables. Some semi private places to put a blanket down n relax. Also if you love ducks,/geese seems like there's always a bunch around too feed or the kids to chase around.:
Nice concrete path curving around the lake. Able to get right up to the water with the low banks and grassy edges. The goose gangs are quite large each and by group. Watching where you step can sometimes be challenging with all the droppings. That's the worst thing about the park, but what are you gonna do right. Side note: the geese are not aggressive. I could walk right by a couple gangs of geese that were hanging out by the picnic tables smoking cigarettes and carving their names in the table. They just watched us walk by. So that's always a plus.
Nice huge pond locals fish in playgrounds for kids and small baseball fields for youth baseball. Tons of ducks and if you just stand on one of the walkway bridges you may see a turtle or two pop it's head up!
I came here for the Fantasy of Lights and took a carriage ride, and it was BREATHTAKING. You can drive through as well, which is better if you prefer to stay warm and are okay with missing the added experience of taking a carriage. However, I highly recommend taking the carriage, the drivers are very friendly and the experience alone is well worth the cost. Also, the horses are amazing. If you are a local this is a staple for the holidays, just be sure to bundle up and bring a few blankets. Even if you are from out of town I recommend paying this a visit, you won’t regret it!
