Dr. Reddy is fine as a doctor which is why I won't go lower than 3 stars, but the front office staff is terrible. I've called and asked a question to be told they will have to call me back...and I never received a call back. I had bloodwork done and the person who called to give me my results knew nothing about bloodwork and could not answer a simple question and made up an answer before rudely hanging up - when telling me they weren't sure and putting me on hold to ask would have been fine. I went for a colonoscopy and if you've prepped for one done by them, you know how extensive the prep is, so I had not had solid food for like 60 hours and the front desk forgot to check me in even though I had gotten there on time, filled out paperwork and sat in the waiting room. My husband went to the front desk to ask why it was taking so long...and they told him it was because I had not checked in. Apparently they had forgotten to check me in even though they had my completed paperwork on the desk and the team that handles colonoscopies was already cleaning up for the day. And today I called, the woman who answered the phone was rude to me and to a patient who was in the office while on the phone with me. I will not be going back.
THIS IS A BIG HOLE IN THE WALL. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. THESE PEOPLE SET ME UP WITH THE WRONG DOCTOR AND STILL BILLED ME FOR A DOCTORS VISIT FOR WHOEVER THIS KHURANA REKHA IS. I’d stick a piece dynamite up my a__ before I’d ever come here. EVER
Perhaps the most disorganized poor care in all of Tuscaloosa and that’s really saying something.
Don't waste your time or money at this place. After my colonoscopy and endoscopy I had to call four separate times to get my results 3 weeks later. I was told I had a food allergy and that I needed to go to an allergist. I was never referred so I made my own appointment a little over a month ago. I received a phone call about a week ago for the referral they finally called in to an allergist. The girls up front are incredibly rude every time I speak to them and act like I'm bothering them when I call and try to get information. I was told if they couldn't find anything else wrong, I would be diagnosed with IBS. After he biopsies were completed, I have yet to receive any of that information. My allergist has faxed over a release form that I signed 4 times, and has still not received my records. When I called gastrocare the women on the phone cut me off in the middle of speaking to tell me that it was not there problem because they had in fact faxed my information and "what did I want her to do because there's nothing else we can do on our end." No patient sensitivity. Doctors only care about finishing all they can in a day. The one visit I had with my doctor was interrupted twice by other nurses asking about other patients. Not reliable at all and I promise they do not care about a single patient. Every encounter I have had with these people in the last 4 months has been Horrible horrible horrible.
On July 16th I was scheduled for colonoscopy I got a ride with my daughter and I told her that would verify with my daughter she said ok scheduled me on the 16th and said she would call back Monday . She did not call me Monday. I called Tuesday and they had given en my appointment to someone else I told them they were wrong and put me back to my appointment.and reschedule the person with my appointment but they refused. This was wrong
My doctor, Dr. Khurana, was actually good. But the women who work the front desk are rude, unhelpful, miserable, disorganized, dislike their jobs, and don't care about the patients. They act as if I'm bothering them whenever I talk to them and they don't understand that the patients here really care because it's about our health...to them, it's about getting you off the phone or out of the office so you're not bothering them anymore. Because of the front desk women, that place is like a black hole that could suck the happy out of mickey mouse. I would rather visit hell itself than the front desk there.
I have been struggling with stomach issues for the past two years and had tried to figure out exactly what was wrong with my body. I went to Gastrocare PC and they made me realize that I just need to change habits to improve the function of my stomach, just a few added things to my daily life and I am already seeing improvements! So happy with my experience at Gastrocare PC.
At first I was fairly pleased with the service I received at Gastrocare. However, over the past year I've become increasingly irritated with their lack of ability to handle patients. At my last EGD, I was informed that I didn't have gallstones, which was "good news." Well, I hope so, because I had my gallbladder removed two years ago, part of a procedure which was suggested BY THIS DOCTOR. I was also told I did NOT have Barrett's Esophagus, a precancerous condition, which the same doctor told me I DID have three years ago. This doctor also told me I didn't know what I was talking about when I voiced some concerns regarding another test I had done. Finally, it took me not one, but THREE calls to get a referral to a new doctor. Then when someone called to tell me when my appointment would be, they called my secondary phone number, so I missed the call, and their office closes at 3 on Fridays so I could not contact them again until the following Monday. That's what I'm trying to do now, but I have been on hold for no less than 25 minutes. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
This office is disorganized and poorly managed. I called to verify they accept Cigna PPO and was told they do but only with a referral from a primary physician. I went through the arduous process of requesting and having the referral delivered only to find out they DO NOT take Cigna PPO for new patients. Probably a blessing in disguise as I wouldn't want a practice this disorganized in control of my daughters health.
My experience was very pleasant. The staff were kind and took time explaining any questions I had regarding the procedure I was having done. I was also impressed with how quickly my results came back in. I would personally recommend these doctors.
