We got in a bit late, but that's not the campground's fault. It's lower on the mountain so it was warmer sleeping conditions than I prepared for, listening to the stream running was quite nice. Just wasn't impressed with the state of the vault toilet bathroom, I know it's a glorified outhouse but yeesh. Also the wasp swarm around the picnic area in the morning, and no I didn't have sweets out. At least they weren't Yellow Jackets as I could move things, but elected to leave because of my dogs. Would camp again in a different spot
Beautifully wooded area. Seasonal water flow in the creek. Clean camp sites and outhouses. Food lockers to protect such from wildlife. Grills and fire rings. Nice first come first serve selection of sites. Does not accommodate large tents, no hookups, no RV spaces.
Great hiking trails and campsites are nice. Wonderful adventure
Really fun area with lots of rocks for climbing and places to explore. Restrooms: Standard outhouse Picnic area: Very nice with fireplaces and grills
This is a great experience if you're a tent camper. It's not really set up for RVs.
This is one of my favorite spots to camp .... just make sure to pick up your trash and put the fire out all the way please
Nice little get away in the mountains
Really great place to start a hike.
There are fees here for day use and overnight use. The camp sites are nestled in a mix of pine and deciduous trees. There is a huge wash that extends through the campground and is dangerous when run off occurs. There are some nice hiking trails in the area. There is an outhouse with no sink.
An amazing place to camp. Located near hiking trails and not far from Rose Canyon Lake. People can be loud and messy. However the bueaty is well worth it. Restrooms: Well kept and clean. Plenty of toilet paper. The forest service came in to check on the trash, outhouses, and camps at least three times a day. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are more then welcome there. Even older dogs would be comfortable enjoying the weather and the relaxing trails. Picnic area: You can cook over the fire or use the grill located there. A well thought out campground.
