The smoked Turkey Leg, baked beans and potato wedges were the best!
Decent tasting BBQ. I got brisket, a pork chop, and the bologna. All tasted pretty good. The owner and his employee were very nice. The price was really good as well. Two 3 meat plates with two sides for under $25. I would come back for sure
Plenty of truck parking, owner is very polite and food is very good. I had brisket...moist and full of flavor. Rack of ribs were falling off the bone, moist and heavenly. Smoked sausage was perfect, it had that snap when you bite in and juices flowing. I also would say to the idiot truck driver who comments that you will get ill by eating here...no one has ever made such an accusation and you're a moron. Probably a dirty filthy steering wheel holder who throws piss bottles out the window, yet runs General Lee down because he doesn't like how the place looks.
This is some GOOD BBQ if you're willing to eat on the run. There's no place to sit down. It just a gas/convenience store. There's also no sign that I ever saw. Just look for the old run down truck stop with a big smoker in front. We had the brisket sandwich, the hamburger and the pork chop. The burger was the best! It was thick, tender and smoked. My boys went back in for a second one. The smoked pork chop was great, too. The brisket was just ok, but I'm from Texas and Texans still do brisket better than anyone in my opinion.
Different from what I'm used to in Texas but not the worst either. Had a slice of smoked bologna and a smoked sausage. Not bad. Husband had brisket, pulled pork and chicken. He ate all of it except the pulled pork, just didn't care for it. Was pretty inexpensive and the people were nice and friendly. Pretty much a dive truck stop with BBQ for sale.
Oh God, hands down the best burger I have ever had. All im going to say is don't judge a book by its cover. Nice thick burger with so much flavor to it. It was smoked perfect. I almost had to break my diet cause 1 was not enough I had to have more. To bad we can only give 5 stars cause I would have given this place 10.
The food is good. I got smoked sausage then went into the dining area to add condiments. The floor was actually sagging. It is dangerous and I'm not sure how they are allowed to keep the dining area open. Food should be taken to go only. The ederly or children should not go near the dining room. It also could use a good cleaning.
They grill/smoke their food each day. It's really good when you get it fresh! I like the Polish sausage, but I've heard the turkey legs are great.
The only thing I've ever had here was the brisket sandwich. Its been a while since I've been here and it's just not the same. It used to be a plentiful heap of tasty, juicy, thinly sliced brisket. Now it's chopped and the flavor isn't there, still plentiful but no flavor. Ps, don't use the the restroom, yuck!
First time here . I had the BBQ ribs, Tatar salad and Mac & cheese for the sides. Anytime I'm Trucking thru this way again I'm stopping .The lady's working here are friendly and very efficient. Now as to the building, yeah it's old school and could use some sprucing up but life ain't perfect. This ain't a place for those expecting the showers to be of Italian Tile and a Sunflower shower head in the ceiling lol. But the warm welcome I will take any day
