So far I have had multiple 5 star experiences with this office. We see Meg and Joe and they have been excellent. The office staff has been friendly and the medical assistants are super nice and helpful. I love the DPC set up for our kids.

My husband & I dearly love Dr. Joe Reid! We went to him for years, but after they started DPC, we couldn't afford their monthly fee & not filing insurance as we're retired on fixed income! I tried to make appointment January 1st, was asked if we were going with new program. When I said no, I was told no appointments were available!! We surely miss Dr. Joe horribly!! He's a terrific doctor!! So, if you can afford the monthly fee, go for it, I'm sure you'll love Dr. Joe too!!!

Everyone at this clinic is amazing. My wife and I see Meg Ellis and she is absolutely top notch! I trust her implicitly with my medical care. She's on top of things and always has answers no matter what may arise. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my medical care!

I was going there and they where ok.. I only went once a year to have my meds refilled and lab work drawn. when it was time to go back I was informed they didn’t take insurance anymore, which that’s was fine I would pay for an office visit, but that isn’t all I had to sign a one year contract with them and pay $84.00 a month. That’s a lot of money to go once a year, so I was left with no meds and no refills and they didn’t care. Anyone on thyroid meds and hormones knows it is no fun or healthy to be off your meds.. but they didn’t care. All about money I guess.

I would not recommend this medical office under any conditions. In searching for a primary physician for my mother, it was recommended that we make an appointment at Genesis as Joe Reid, and others in the office, was taking new patients. We were initially told that medical release forms and other paperwork would need to be completed before obtaining an appointment. The paperwork was completed and turned in at the front office at which time we were told we would receive a call to let us know if my mother would be accepted as a patient. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing back, we called to check the status of being accepted. We were hatefully told that we would receive a call when the paperwork was reviewed. Another week passed and we called again. A message was played that staff was in a meeting, to leave a message, and they would call back. Of course they did not. Today, we made a final call to inquire about appointment status in order to decide to move on to somewhere else. After a VERY long hold time, my mother was told she had been rejected as Genesis was not taking new patients which we know is untrue. We again mentioned the person who referred my mom to Genesis because they ARE taking new patients and the lady on the phone barked back "They don't work here, I do". Four weeks my mother who has medical needs has been without a primary because of poor management at Genesis. They didn't even have the courtesy to let us know she had been rejected. And whoever is in charge of the phone there should be fired. She is very rude and hateful and leaving one star with this review is one star too many.

Joe is a good friend’s son. First visit to him was for Covid las year. He had me better in just a few days after feeling like death when I went in. EVERYONE in that office has shown me NOTHING but kindness!! And I am SO excited about their soon starting a Direct Primary Care choice for their patients. They genuinely care about all aspects of their patients’ lives. Highly recommend them

I have been with them for years. I was told at my last appointment that two doctors wouldn’t be transferred to Direct Primary Care. I asked my meds to be called in and they said well it’s been three months, you need to make an appointment. Mind you, I live an hour and a half away but I PRAISED my doctor and didn’t want to have to switch. I had to have two surgeries so I was unable to make it. Was told I had to be seen. Fine. I made the appointment and wasn’t able to make it due to needing another surgery so called to make another the other day. Going on two months without my daily meds. They inform me that they switched to DPC and the comment made was “this has been going on awhile now”. No I didn’t receive a letter in the mail. I was told IN OFFICE that if I couldn’t afford the DPC right away that Joe and Meg were staying within my insurance. So thank you to leaving a patient in the dust. Thankfully I found a good doctor where I live. I truly appreciate you all for neglecting your patient.

Everytime I visit this practice, everyone is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. I have never had any issues in any of my visits and they've been very good about scheduling me quickly and getting me in and out! Highly recommend as all the doctors are very well versed in their practice.

If you are looking for a medical practice that will merely medicate your symptoms and enable you remain an unhealthy wreck, Genesis is not for you. When I first visited Genesis I was very unhealthy and out of shape, borderline diabetic and high cholesterol. Joe Reid was very thorough in educating me to why I was in such bad health and what I needed to do to reverse course. I listened and followed his directions and proved him right. Sure he could have written me multiple prescriptions to treat the issues which would have kept me coming back to see him every couple of months which would have meant more money in his pocket like most medical professionals do anymore. But now I only have to follow up with him once or twice a year. He truly cares that I am healthy now. That's why I will never go anywhere else. Thanks Joe!

Up until last month I would rate this office at a 4 only lacking on communication and scheduling. But, after switching from Joe to Sydney which was urged by Sydney saying joes patient load was too much I’ve had nothing but trouble. I’ve been charged for screens each month as well as other various charges that I was not told about or asked about prior. Sydney accused me of drug use on several occasions unbeknownst to her that I have been involved with Magnolia Ridge recovery and am tested weekly when I walk in to help support people struggling with addiction. Twice she threatened to drop me before waiting on results. I take blood pressure and heart medications and was left without refills due to her incompetence. Sydney Whitehead is not someone you want to rely on to actually “help” you with your needs. If you’d like to be spoken down to then she’s the one for you!
