Gentle Dental Arts - Alexander Larsen DDS & Travis Storey DMD

Dr. Larsen is truly the best dentist. I had a tooth brake and his team was very prompt and professional about getting back to me. It was easy to get in and see him. He and his team made sure I was comfortable in terms of pain management and fixed my problem in my very timely manner. He upholds a high standard of integrity and professionalism. This is an honest dentist who makes me feel valued and cared for. I wish I could give 100 stars. He is absolutely worth it!

My experience at Gentle Dental Arts yesterday was as positive as a dental visit gets. Let me walk you through it. My GDA journey began in the waiting room which, with its cozy lighting and classic Arnold Friberg art, transports one back to those quiet summer afternoons spent in grandma’s living room. After very little waiting, the lovely Leila smilingly beckoned to follow her as she escorted me to a waiting dental chair. Through a dazzling smile and with sparkling eyes she explained in cheerful clarity what would happen next, and her warm, charming demeanor made me feel right at home. She then left me alone to bask in the serenades of Katy Perry and other award-winning artists on the top-40 radio for just long enough to allow my anticipation to dissolve into a sweet relaxation. In a perfectly-timed moment between songs, Dr. Larsen entered like the hero sheriff in a western movie strolling through the swinging doors of a saloon to confront the bad guys. “I hear there’s a toothache that needs to be soothed,” he might as well have said, and he got right to work. He wielded his tools of dental utility like a master artist flourishes his paint brush, so masterful was his technique. A more skilled hand has never entered my mouth, and I doubt one ever will again. After a few relatively pleasant moments, the deed was done and Leila returned to my side and walked me to the door. I left the office that day with as bright an outlook on the world as any man ever did upon leaving a dentist appointment. And I would be remiss not to call attention to the friendly clown statue which greeted me as I left the chair area. Whether he sits there as a modern take on the cigar store Indian that stood on the sidewalks of 20th century towns or for some other reason, I can’t be sure, but he gladdens the heart. No, but for real, it was a good experience and I’ll 10/10 go back

Very welcoming. The receptionist was very efficient! The Dentist checked the X-rays. And asked if I had any concerns. The hygienist was thorough, and did a great job making me feel comfortable, and I left with clean sparkly teeth. A great experience.

I enjoyed my teeth cleaning from checked Lindsay. She truly was gentle and it was great to not stress about it with my sensitive teeth. She was also great at communicating with me when I asked questions or shared my preferences with the cleaning. Dr Ollar was also very communicative when he checked my teeth for cavities and when I had some watches on my teethplaces to check in case of a cavity developing later.

Dr. Ollar is incredible! He took the time to explain everything he saw, as well as went above and beyond answering some questions. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new dentist. The office staff was incredibly kind as well! I actually enjoyed going to the dentist!!

My cleaning today was amazing! Lindsay is very gentle and so kind!! The dentist was also awesome and very informative and knowledgeable! He had great answers to my questions! I had a great experience!!

I am baffled by all the glowing reviews of this practice. It had been a long time since I had, had work done when I first went to see Dr. Larsen and I needed extensive work done and a repair done on my permanent retainer which I was assured they could do. Once I was under anesthesia I was told he couldn't actually fix it and he could wing a fix if I wanted but wasn't actually trained to do it. I have since had to have much of that work re-done by another dentist as fillings have fallen out and one of my molars was cracked as a result of the work I had done. It was horrifically painful for weeks after causing splitting migraines and they continued to just suggest ibuprofen. A different dentist was able to fix one of my fillings that was hitting a nerve. Perhaps the worst part though, was they insisted they had to pre-charge me without first going through my insurance and told me I would get a refund. However they billed the insurance incorrectly multiple times, asked ME what the right billing codes were, and refused to give my refund which was 80% of the total costs and thousands of dollars, told me I still owed what my insurance didn't cover not the coinsurance, but instead balance billing which is illegal in Utah until I threatened legal action. So although it did get resolved, it took many months, I had to seek out legal services, and my teeth are worse for having gone here. I would avoid Gentle Dental at all costs.

I enjoy going to the dentist! Everyone is friendly and efficient and problems and procedures are explained so I understand.

Whitney, Cassandra, Lindsay, Dr. Larsen, and the other staff all know me personally, and they always say hi to me like I'm a friend when I come in. I love that. They chat with me while they're getting ready to clean my teeth or perform a procedure, and they remember the things I tell them! Dr. Larsen was gentle and careful when giving me a numbing shot. One of the staff gave me laughing gas when I asked for it, and she and Dr. Larsen waited while it kicked in before they started the procedure. She even gave me a blanket when I told her I was cold! This is a very high-quality dentistry, and I would most definitely recommend it.

We've been patients of Dr. Larsen for 20 years. He is truly one of the best dentists we've ever been to. His slogan "Gentle Dentist" is not just a slogan, it's accurate.
