The Multicultural Greek Council at George Mason was created by two Greek Organizations in 1999 to unite cultural and diverse Fraternities and Sororities.
The Multicultural Greek Council at George Mason University was created by two Greek Organizations in 1999 to unite cultural and diverse Fraternities and Sororities.
Since the inception of MGC, Greek letter organizations under the Council have been able to collaborate and produce community service, educational programs and social events for the Mason community.
There are 11 organizations within MGC:

-- Latinas Promoviendo Communidad/ Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. Est.1988
-- alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Inc. Est. 1990
-- Pi Delta Psi Fraternity, Inc. Est.1994
-- Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc. Est. 1994

The purpose of the Multicultural Greek Council of George Mason University (GMU) shall be to unify the cultural and diverse fraternities and sororities that foster a commitment to community service through intellectual, emotional, and social development and academic excellence in the promotion of higher education and positive relationships with university administration.
