About Our Practice: Board-Certified Dentists
The dentists at Gillis Dentistry are friendly, knowledgeable, and very experienced. Our practice opened in May 2000 after Dr. Gillis completed 20 years as a dental officer in the Canadian Forces. Dr. Lin Chen has been full time at our practice since 2012 and Dr. Gokhan Shevket part time since 2011. We offer bilingual services.
Dr. Gillis
During his more than 30 years of practice, Dr. Gillis has been providing dental services to military and civilian patients. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in 1980 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1984. He enrolled in the Dental Officer Training Program in 1980 with the Canadian Armed Forces serving with the Canadian Forces as a dental officer from 1980 to 2001. Dr. Gillis attended a post graduate dental residency in Fort Knox Kentucky with the US Army Dental Corps from 1990-1992. He gained board certification from the Federal Services of General Dentistry in 1994 and his fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1996.
Our Facility
Enjoy features such as expanded hours, wheelchair accessibility, and ground-level free parking. Gillis Dentistry also has the accommodations and equipment to be able to perform most services in-house. We recently expanded and renovated our facility, reopening on April 28, 2014. Come in and see our state of the art facility and equipment. We offer extended hours including evenings and Saturdays.
Payment & Fee Information
Dental work is very affordable at Gillis Dentistry. We follow the Ontario Dental Fee Guide in all pricing and accept assignments for many insurance claims so you only have to take care of a minimal co payment depending on your coverage. We do offer direct billing to insurance companies that take that service.
