Great store. Both guys working there are friendly, knowledgeable and patient. My kids and I must have gone in the store ten times before we actually bought anything and they were as friendly and helpful on our tenth visit as they were on our first visit. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that the aquarium set I bought there was actually less expensive than the exact set at Petco. They also guarantee everything they sell. If you have fish or you're thinking of getting fish then Gills is the place to go.
Great store with an even better staff. Sean and Jacob are incredibly knowledgeable and will be able to guide you whether you're getting your first fish or if you have an elaborate Reef. Their selection is tremendous and they have everything from fish to corals to any type of medicine or nutrients that your tank needs. These guys aren't like other aquarium stores where they will try to upsell you. They are all about making sure that you have a successful aquarium and an enjoyable experience.
I happened upon gills after looking for a aquarium shop in the area and there are definitely very few. The shop is gorgeous and kept very clean. You can tell that the staff has a great passion for what they do. I’ve revisited a few times now and they never disappoint, the prices are excellent too wich is a huge plus. I’ve been to a few places in the past that were way overpriced and gills is very reasonable. I’ll be visiting them again very soon.

Impressive coral frag display. The fish all look healthy. The general manager, Jacob, who I believe is the owner, is a font of knowledge about aquaria. This store is so much better than the big brand stores with mediocre help. This is the only place to go for livestock.
Small, clean and friendly aquarium supply store in Mamaroneck, Westchester County. Ample parking in the back. Seemingly knowledgeable staff that takes a personal interest in you getting the appropriate fish. They have a much broader saltwater than freshwater livestock selection 3:1.
I couldn't be happier! Sean and Jacob are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and unhesitatingly helpful. My experience at Gills has been just terrific and I recommend it with great enthusiasm.
Excellent, kind, knowledgeable staff that make you feel valued. Get all my aquarium supplies and fish here, and whenever I call with a problem they always have to answer.
Amazing customer service, great prices and wide variety for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Great for both beginners and experts owning aquariums.Highly recommended
Great selection,friendly staff. My first visit there today. Walked out the door with three great looking tangs and a complementary espresso.
