Texas Creek campground is the jewel of BC Parks! On the shores of the sublime Christina Lake, the warmest Lake in BC, you'll swim and paddle to your heart's delight. All flush toilets, clean water, and an amazing dishwashing station with 4 sinks/4 faucets. Hikers have the options of Badger Trail 10km, or Deer Point Trail which is unending - you can walk all the way to other towns! It gets hot and it's a challenge to keep your coolers from melting after more than 3 days, so best to make regular trips into nearby towns Christina Lake, or Grand Forks, for more perishables groceries, plus the Grand Forks farmers' market, and the ice cream shops in Christina Lake. Further day trips to Rossland 45 minutes away and Nelson 90 minutes are definitely *must do's*
Great campsite with spacious sites and lots of privacy. The flush toilets masquerading as pit toilets were a super nice surprise! Trail down to the beach is moderately steep, just something to be aware of for folks that may struggle with that. Beach is separated into two sides, one being pet friendly bonus!, but when we went to use it, there were a bunch of boats with people maybe not from the campground? occupying the pet friendly sites. Get there early to secure your spot! Finally, regarding the quiet hours, as many have describes these seem to be loosely enforced. If you’re traveling with little ones, perhaps may not be a good fit.
Nice Campground . Beautiful water . There is a nice hiking trail that takes you up behind the camp site. Great views . We have been here 3 times now and will be back again
Beautiful park on a beautiful lake. Texas Creek campground is right there with fairly private spots. Boat traffic on lake picks up around 12-1pm making the morning great for a paddle around the lake.
Went to 6 campsites in 12 days through bc and this one was my favorite! Very pet friendly, on and off the beach. Extremely well managed and cleaned! Absolutely the best!
Beautiful park! Spent 2 days and it wasnt long enough at all! Cant wait to come back. The park rangers here are on top of their game!
Lake is warm and clear, nice for snorkling. there are also large boulders underwater, in the area where people cliff jump, wich are neat while snorkling. small beaches with not too many people. The walk to the beaches is a little steep and there is a area that does not allow pets. the beach has a steep drop off after a few meters into the water. imo best lake in bc
There's no trailhead, do not come here. It is sketchy, it seems like a ghost area...
It was okay. I don't recall it being outstanding in any way. Staff could have been more friendly and helpful. Basic beach.
Best place on earth to camp and bike and boat
