As a retired Veteran I have been out at Glen Haven checking on Veteran Markers. I have trimmed my 400th Veteran Marker today. I started in the Prayer and Hour Sections. If your ever out at Glen Haven and you see a Red Truck stop and give me a shout. I have been doing this hobby for eight years and and enjoy what I do. One of the main problems I have noticed is most if not all of the Veterans have no remaining families in the area. Things are getting better one marker at a time. Let's all work together. God Bless.
--2nd update as of 22 Aug 2022… I made another email inquiring when my moms engraving was going on the schedule as told 15 Aug22 .. i will keep posting until resolved . I am sure George or Chuck the un-disclosed Owner is working personally . Right ???????? -Update- after this review, contact was made with the promise of the engraving being placed on the schedule... Today is 16 Aug 22. I will advise when results are MET. I have to wonder how many others have family/friends UNMARKED as well??? To the owner Name wasn't disclosed the most important part of Customer Service/Support is too keep your clients/customers informed of delays and completion not excuses. Own the situation and 'make good' not open ended promises!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With the level of frustration felt I don’t think GlenHaven deserves even 1 star ! My mom passed away in Dec 2021 and to this day of 13 August 2022 the prepaid engraving service for date of death remains blank !! I have made numerous attempts by contacting Marty sales counselor who unfortunately cannot assist and GM Clara who hasn’t had the decency to return my calls, nor contact me in any form . I am resorting to filing a complaint with BBB and sharing this review to as I’ve been told there are numerous families in the same situation . If the Engraving company breached their contract with GlenHaven that is on them, NOT the families who pre-paid for these services . We are left with a feeling of deception and pain as we have no closure ! Bottom line - unless GlenHaven takes responsibility please don’t put your loved ones in their hands as you will be greatly disappointed !!
My mother purchased her site here before she passed away. We were treated with respect and kindness by Dolores Emche. Each time I have been here I am always very satisfied with the service and appearance of the property. I recommend Glen Haven Memorial Park to everyone.
Update - They agreed to pay the expenses from this incident which was a kind gesture, but landscaping management needs to improve so this doesn’t happen again. Original 1 star review below: Just came here with my fiancée to find her grandparents, since we just moved here together. As soon as she finds them she runs over a deceivingly large gap and may have torn a ligament, all from coming here to do an innocent activity during these trying times. This horribly maintained park deserves it’s rating because it’s evident you don’t give a sh*t about your landscaping, or your visitors. Thanks for making us spend our Sunday at urgent care. She’s stuck on crutches until further notice and I will likely have to drive her around, missing work.
Mom died and was laid to rest in a crypt at Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, several years ago. Until recently the crypt was not marked. This was a cause for great frustration. Seems every time I asked about this problem I was told it would be taken care of to no avail. After talking to Tom he was very understanding and empathetic when we spoke. The crypt plaque was installed within days. After all these years Tom got the job done. Thanks Tom
My mother is buried there. The lawn co hit her cameo picture and broke it. I was told by Delores that there is nothing they can do.3 years ago the lawn care co broke the headstone and it was replaced. Worst cemetery I have ever seen!
Mrs Jackie should be commended for her extreme deligence in making the funeral for my brother so amazingly beautiful. She's an asset to your company, one who gets the job done.
Arrived to my family's graves only to find all the vases had been removed along with others nearby and were put in a big pile along some bushes. Was told they had to be removed so that a graveside service could be held. Why couldn't the vases be put down inside the headstones instead of guessing which ones were ours. Completely unexceptable! Also, the landscaping is appalling. Everything needs to be professionally trimmed down. The trees, bushes mowing everything. The lawnmowers run over everything and the trash is left to blow in the wind. The headstones can barely be seen due to the overgrowth. What a pathetic way to run a business.
Visited mom's and nephew's gravesite today. Landscaping is pathetic,grass needs to be cut around many graves. Pulled grass around mom's and nephew's site by hand. Vases will not hide away, the dirt needs to be cleaned out. I cut my finger attempting to clean myself. Many sites look pretty shabby. You guy's should be ashamed of yourselves.
Stay far away! I made a big mistake laying my husband to rest here. The office staff is only helpful when they want the commission off of the sale for your deceased loved one. My husbands marker was installed in the wrong area 4 years ago and they have yet to fix it!! The office "put in a work order" at least 6 times and the work was never done. They feel they did their part and who cares! My mother in law spoke directly to the grounds keeper and he told her the office never issued a single work order for his site. For years my family begged them to raise the ground where my husbands grave is sinking in. His entire area is filled with sinking graves where they leave sites in poor condition until a family member starts kicking and screaming for it to change. We ask them to cut the grass that is always left because the markers are so close together the lawn mower can not get close enough. Save yourself the stress and heartbreak, do not put your loved one here.
