I struggled over the rating - would have been 4.5 If I had that option. Most of the staff were very friendly and the vibe/atmosphere was really nice. The bakery items up front looked delicious didn't indulge since this was breakfast:-. I tasted my husband's corned beef hash and it was amazing - like they must have cooked the corned beef and made the hash from it - so fresh. I had cinnamon raisin french toast and thought it was incredibly dry. I thought the menu said it came with cinnamon butter, but I was told it did not - looked at the menu again on the way out and still think it should have, but maybe they meant that it's just grilled in cinnamon butter. Regardless, it was hard to eat and that was a bummer since it was a "calorie splurge" for me. Next time I'd get the corned beef - because I definitely want to go back.
Had a wonderful father daughter breakfast with my dad after fishing. I had a ham sour cream and potato omelet with hash Browns and white toast so yummyyyy I absolutely loved the craft show showcasing local artists and crafters such as our very own waitress who made the paintings pictured!! I can't wait to come back and eat delicious food and buy some beautiful art
Always a treat to go here. Great staff, quick service even through high traffic hours and amazing portions sizes. The pancakes were bigger than the darn plate they arrived on . Amazing effort on part of the waitress to find strawberries for my friends pancakes even though they were out. Only complaint I have is the quality of the coffee; bland. Would 100% return.
Awesome food and people! Our family discovered this place recently and we really enjoy going here. We love the rustic farmhouse atmosphere and it’s always decorated so nice. We go about once a week and everyone is really friendly! Portions are huge and you never leave hungry! Yesterday we got the call that our 13-year-old won the “guess the pumpkin’s weight” contest, which made his entire Halloween! We went for breakfast this morning and he was so proud to collect his pumpkin pie prize! The ladies were so sweet to him and we really appreciate such a warm, inviting, family place to eat at when we’re in the area. Truly lovely folks! Highly recommended!
Food was delicious and portion size is huge.
Great food. Large portions. Little bit of a wait during breakfast but worth it.
Stopped here on our way home from New York. TripAdvisor said they were open until 3 and we walked in at 1:50. The waitress said they actually close at 2, but told us they would still seat us. We ordered soup and split a club sandwich. Soup was Italian wedding soup - very different from the usual but delicious! Club sandwich was made on homemade bread and was great! Server was attentive and friendly. Bought some cookies, a muffin and the last two pieces of a walnut coffee cake. Holy cow - all fantastic!! I would travel back up there just to get that coffee cake again.
Haven't had anything that we didn't like. Great omelets and sausage gravy.
There was pee on the waiting room bench. Probably some kid had an accident. No big deal but when we told the service, we overheard them say "they don't get paid enough for this". Sorry pal but if there's urine in your restaurant, you should clean it up, immediately. I could honestly care less how much you get paid. Major health hazard and by the time we left nobody had come over to clean it up or even put up a lil sign not to sit there. Food was bad, mediocre at best, and overpriced. Not from the area but if I was ever back I wouldn't eat here again.
The breakfast is great. Staff is very friendly and the breads are the best in the area! I love the cinnamon raisin.
