About our counselor:
Kathleen has lived in Siloam Springs, Arkansas since 1976. She & her husband have been married over 30 years, having also raised 5 children to adulthood, which included over 20 years experience with foster care & adoptions. Kathleen has been a licensed Counselor & Marriage/Family Therapist for over 15 years.
About our services:
We believe that MOST people can make their way through life with an “average“ level of success & failure. It is normal to have a season of overwhelming difficulty, where it is beneficial to have additional support, to learn & implement new information and/or skills. We believe that MOST people can be given information & support for a short period of time, to feel confident in themselves, to continue their life journey without additional “professional” help.
We work with individuals, couples, and families with school-age children.
We can address physical, mental and spiritual needs. We can treat mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment problems, behavior management, relationship and abuse issues.
We care for every client with unconditional positive regard. Every person has a story to tell. The basic human condition is to have weaknesses that cause conflicts, but to also have strengths, resources & potential to solve those conflicts.
We listen. We help our clients to define the problem. We help clients identify & build on their strengths, to apply them to solutions. We provide hope, validation, insight and encouragement. We provide a level of care appropriate with each individual client’s need. We honor our clients by allowing them to identify what their goals are in counseling, including frequency & duration of treatment. We also offer resources in order for additional support in the community outside of “professional counseling” when appropriate.
We accept cash, debit/credit cards, ArKids "A", Blue Cross Blue Shield, CIGNA insurance. We also provide for various EAPs.
About getting started:
Our office is at 620 S. Mt. Olive in Siloam Springs, in the Accident, Injury & Health Care Clinic.
Our services are by appointment only, Monday through Friday.
