I want to give a big shoutout to the instructors especially Elias for always having upfront criticism and always being a class act especially when they’re times when things don’t go right at the yard. The office ladies were always nice and humble. Another great thing is yes they do work around your schedule but that can also slow you down to get your cdl faster. Everyone’s story is different but it’s up to you have hard you push to get the Incab memorized and pre trip. Gmc training institute does have flaws. I hope they get another truck because they do have alot of students waiting around to drive in the city not just in the yard. I think that would help this school out a lot. The system that they have going can be tweaked a bit to work better in their favor. I would recommend this place if you don’t have a full time job but you can still make it workout if you have limited time. Just prioritize your schedule. All in all they are here to help you get your license. I started April 4 2022 and got my license in June 15 2022.
Well I have to say the true about it. Maria. She was very professional and always super nice and helpful to be honest Elias. The instructor always was there when I had any questions and teach me good very helpful I really appreciate everything. Rafael. Instructor: very helpful thanks man for all the motivation that I get from you to be honest. Feels good that someone. Else believe on you when not one doe’s!! But there is couple things that I really hate and if someone. Would ask me if I recommend to go there I would strongly say not. Trucks are not in shape to be drive. Not air condición there is times when they run out diesel or we would have to wait for hours to get diesel money. They really need to evaluate if this is a good idea to keep this school open. As a Busisnes owner Of a transport company I would prefer my drivers to go somewhere else instead here. Again instructors and school people are cool
I was a student there when Chris was a instructor his teaching was the only thing good about Gloria's program she's doesn't care about her business at all nor her students trucks are always in bad shape constantly waiting on them to get fixed one truck to learn from save you money go to a better school nobody paid me to say this this isn't a false review horrible place to get your CDL Gloria is all about her self she's a fake person watch her fake videos of Facebook it's all for show
I have been going for more then 4months yet i cant get my cdl… one day i got there and was standing there for 2 whole hours and no one showed up so i left. I started going to a school in pasco and right away in 5 week i got my cdl. Also ive been trying to get ahold of this school so i can get my money back.. but nothing i filed a claim and no answer.. but i highly recommend the school in pasco next to the flea market!!! This wanna be “professional” school wastes your time..don’t recommend going at all but if you wanna waste your money and time go for it because half the people that pay dont finish!!
WARNING If I can give this place no stars I would!!! I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt. READ EVERY REVIEW POSSIBLE!!! There's a reason GMC Training Institute has a poor rating!!! Gloria does NOT care for her students. She has had complaints about her instructor Elias and yet does nothing! You also apparently complete 8hrs every day despite you leaving and not come back after 12 for lunch. The Instructor also signs off on it. You are left with no instructor all day. They apparently don't teach you COUPLING AND UNCOUPLING, they don't teach you how to chain up! This was asked to the instructor which he answered "that's not part of the program". WHAT!! They are not meeting the state requirements. This place is no good. At the yard you are standing there with 10-20 students waiting to do their pre trip. On ONE TRUCK!! The truck itself is NOT mechanically up to date. I was literally shocked when I told Gloria there was no way we can do the pre-trip inspection with the trailer on. She asked "why?". BECAUSE IT'S DANGEROUS!! Seriously 23 years in business and she doesn't know why? I  had to leave that place, it's a joke!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A REAL SCHOOL!!
I read the reviews before I came to the school . I lost a bit of interest because of the reviews but after I came to the school, none of those reviews are truth I had a way better experience then those reviews the new instructors were excellent with me they helped me so much with my inspections and my driving I’ve never been in a semi before and after this school I feel am ready to go drive in the road and start my job as a CDL driver . I recommend this school with new instructors they have patients and they don’t get frustrated.
FIRST of all don't enlist to save a few dollars. The main instructor at the yard is not professional and he does not treat people with respect and appreciation. If you do something wrong all he does is raise his voice at you in front of other students instead of give you some guidance and encouragement. There is no instructor and student confidentiality. There is no structure organization and there is no actual training giving to you. He only shows you the inspection once and from there on you are on YOUR OWN and learn from other students who have been there for months. Other students who attended were so furious due to the lack of training and scheduling. There could be almost 30 plus students at the yard at one time. You can spend months going there without actually getting an appointment for your CDL state test even if you are ready. There is so much favouritism among instructors and students. You can spend hundreds of dollars in fuel expenses and by the time you complete the training you pretty much already paid for the full original price. I don't recommend anyone to attend this school. Please go somewhere else where you actually going to get the training , education and experience to become a commercial driver. I TRULY believe this company only cares about revenue and not customer service.
The instructors at gmc cdl school are very fun, friendly, professional, very knowledgeable and great communication. They teach you at your own pace give concrete answers to the best of their knowledge, if they don’t know how to answer a question they will find it. Chris and angel are the instructors and never seen how diligent they work with their students to have them pass and get their cdl license. Maria is the young lady at front desk, she’s very friendly as well if you need anything she will help. She will make reservations for the dmv to get you an appointment, she would make appointments for drug test screening and physical. Lastly, I’m very great-full I got to come to the gmc cdl school I’ve learned a lot, met great people, great instructors and young office lady’s. I would recommend this school who ever is trying to get their cdl it’s a great school and you’ll have a great time.
I have seen how go above and beyond to help people understand the importance improving their financial security by getting their CDL license and help them to achieve their license.
