The new superintendent has a lot of weight on his shoulders and I'm hoping he can bring a positive impact. There is a lot of manipulation here I have noticed within the district and outside. I know a lot of people that went to Grandview in the last 20 years or so and have moved to towns close by and have held different opinions which really makes this place difficult to manage because you have people who passionately hate this place and some that really like it. So this place has a lot of negative stigma to be honest and not very much funding which makes things extremely difficult. I usually don't deal with gen ed but have seen what happens and I would say it is obvious the middle school has some serious bullying issues that need cleaned up. Thankfully there is a lot of people that I have noticed that have migrated to Grandview to develop stronger community in communication. So basically the kids in gen ed that need babysitters just need to go home so the parents can grow with the kids to help this district over come a lot of unnecessary obstacles which helps in diversity and special education due to organization. I've met a lot of good people here however I have met some bad apples that have really strained this district.
Trying to be patient in these challenging times with Covid-19 but this district has had all summer to figure it out and still have no clue! They cant even give us a straight answer on which elementary school our child will be attending. Its embarrassing, you get different answers from everyone, which further confirms they have no clue. They schedule assessments with kids but have no follow up. With this amount of incompetency and the fact that school is going to be online, I have not clue why we need them. We'll just sign up for school online with a different program and let this district dissolve, save us all some tax dollars! Ridiculous!!!
ALL SCHOOLS IN THE DISTRICT ARE IN TERRIBLE SHAPE DUE TO THE CUSTODIAL MANAGEMENT, CARES MORE ABOUT HIS GRAPES THAN THE SCHOOLS...
