We finally came back to eat here. The restaurant looks absolutely great since the remodel. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff is great. They are very helpful and very polite as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. As a great place for buffet food. Food: 5/5
The restaurant was clean and tidy. The waitress was quick and attentive to our needs. The food was delicious and satisfying. The steak was amazing, and the fruits and vegetables were very fresh. The salad station was stocked with everything you need to make a fresh salad. The only thing is that it's Thanksgiving Day and they ran out of pie, and vanilla ice cream
Eagerly anticipated Golden Corral's reopening during phase 3. Very appreciative of the public safety measures they implemented. A few changes l noticed is that masks were required of partons, employees wore masks, the cashier immediately provided wrapped utensils and plates after paying, they do not combine tables for large parties, and there is a large dining section in rear that was blocked off. Appears all who were dining in were enjoying themselves and having a pleasurable experience. The variety and selection of foods and desserts was great. I came for the salad bar, which is delicious. Staff friendly, cordial, and show a willingness to assist patrons in any way. Will return...
Food quality is way down hill for the price. And service is slow on drink refills. When it firsted opened up again it was great and has gotten worse. The last 2 times we went food tasted like it had been out for a while and was not great tasting. Even the steaks are not turning out to great the last few times. And the cleanliness of the overall building is horrible. Do better and get more business, honestly chow time is the best, but I do like the steak when it is on point.
Great Buffet options. But the collard greens are the best in town when Alex is working.
Newly renovated the facility is lovely, with God parking, however it feels tight inside - like less tables but more walk room...but still tight. The food wasn't as good as I remember GCs being in NC. The selection wasn't as good. Trays/plates weren't at the front where you pay, you had to look for them - don't remember even seeing trays. The place just didn't have the friendly atmosphere I remembered. The wait staff were friendly and courteous which is why I gave 3 stars. I don't think I'll be back.
FANTASTIC!! You’ve GOT to TRY the CHICKEN & DUMPLINGS!!! The other food was DELICIOUS too, not to mention the Cakes, Pies, Ice Cream, Brownies, Cookies, Salads & Fruit. You go away hungry it’s your own fault.
They really try hard however, there is something different. Years back the place seemed more vibrant. Things looked cleaner the food tasted better. It might be better if they only cooked a small variety of meats because none of them were great nor were they bad. Maybe they are having trouble getting skilled cooks. The server appeared to be working hard to keep tables cleaned however stacked them all on one table. She did ask if it was ok to use the sweeper which was nice instead of just running it. The carpet really needs to be cleaned it looked dirty yet vacuumed. The restroom was clean and stocked It will be awhile till I return. Vegetarian options: They have a large variety of vegetables.
We only go for Sunday breakfast "occasionally." Lately, the food has been poor at best. The corn beef isn't cooked. The bacon is greasy and not done. The only things I eat now are grits and eggs. And for $15 a plate, we probably won't be going anymore since I can fix those items better anyway.Food: 2/5
Food is good. For the price The last few times we have been there service has not been good. Tables are slow being cleaned. Waited for our drinks very long time after we went to get our food and came back to the table. Looks like the same old problem everywhere. People just don't want to work and do their jobs anymore. You almost hate to leave a tip sometimes. Kid-friendliness: Some of the servers for the tables are friendly and take care of you. Some don't care and you basically never see them after your first drink. Good luck removing plates sometimes.
