Golden Nails, Providence Place Mall

Went to get my toes & nails done, the young girl did both very fast which is fine but she did a very sloppy job..there’s nail polish on my fingers, missing color on my nails..not cool — i should’ve went to the other nail salon in this mall, it’s 10000 times better & cleaner.

I probably should have checked the reviews before I went to this place. Sloppiest manicure I have ever received. DO NOT USE THEM!!! NOT worth the price. Look at all the white residue around my nails.

Not even 4 hours after I got my nails done 2 of my nails broke. When I went in and asked for a refund they refused to give me one. I paid $50 and left a $10 tip. Will not be returning. I’ve never broken a nail so effortlessly before let alone 2 within hours. I think if I did press on nails myself they would have held on better. Note to self, don’t go to a nail salon that has under 3 stars. There’s probably a reason.

I told myself I would never get my nails done here after my last horrible experience they charged me 35 for acrylic which is normal but 20$ extra for length with clear polish , but because I was already at the mall I decided to get my nails done here again out of convenience. It’s usually packed but when I went in, I was able to look at some colors and they told me when I picked a color to take a seat. The man that did my nails had ear pods in, I asked him if they did dip powder, he looked at me and said “no whatever color we have over there is all we have”. He asked me what color I wanted and I just said “white”. While he’s doing my nails I look around and I notice a wall that says “dip powder” so I mentioned to him that I noticed there is dip powder and he completely ignored me while filing my nails. He drilled the sides of my nail so carelessly to the point where I was in so much pain while trying to wash my hands. I asked him how much they charge for gel and he said 15$ more. A majority of other nail salons only charge 5$ more for gel He ripped a piece of my skin that wasn’t even near my nail because he kept aggressively pulling my hand, I relaxed my hand so I’m not even sure as to why he kept pulling it. I wanted it to be over and done with at this point. Before he polished my nails he had me pay first. Which I understand the logic that “my nails are going to be wet so I should pay before he polishes” but I find it weird because I’ve witnessed before and after my nails were done they wait til the customer’s nails are dried and let them pay after. But the first and second time I’ve been here they had me pay beforehand. I will never come here again. I’ve had better service & this place isn’t where you should go unless you’re a regular and they KNOW you. Otherwise if you’re a walk in, they treat you like they don’t care about your satisfaction because they make so much money anyways. My nails look extremely bulky for a coffin shape & it’s thick and doesn’t look elegant at all. I forgot to mention that he skipped a lot of steps & I’m so disappointed because you should never assume that someone doesn’t know what the steps are for an acrylic manicure that you skip them completely just to get it done faster

I have been getting my nails done with Smiley for 5 years! This man is one of the best nail techs in Rhode Island hands down! I get crazy designs, shapes, etc and he gives me those unique, beautiful, fabulous nails that makes everyone ask where do I go! I love this place and I will continue to go here. The shop is clean, comfortable, and has nice flexible hours. Definitely go and ask for Smiley. He is awesome!

Nails Painfully Hanging Off- I’ve been wearing my $50 acrylic nails for just under two weeks, and one of them is literally painfully hanging off! The manicure was poor at best and over prices at that. I expected a standard full-set and received way below the standard. My natural nails have indents in them from how poorly my acrylic was done, and I am disappointed in my experience at this nail salon. I wish I could get a refund because that was a complete and utter waste of my money!

My nails came out so bad and uneven. This was a complete waste of $35 when I usually pay $25. Never again will I go there to do my nails totally not the results I was expecting for the amount I paid. Then the man who did my nails didn’t put a clear coat over and my hands were under the drier for a good 3 minutes until he came over and put it on. Also after I told them I didn’t want to purchase the $65 full set they continued to pressure me into getting it, then were rude when I continued to say no. My nails came out uneven from each other and very thin it looks like there’s no acrylic on them. So disappointed with this set.

Love this place me and my husband went here, Their customer service was excellent and very friendly very relaxed Atmosphere. I was Undecided about what color I wanted my nails to be, and the lady was so patient, she went above and beyond to help me find the perfect nail color. My nails came out so amazing I love them! can’t wait to go back in two weeks
