Golden Police Department

On 8/9/22 I reported what I thought may have been a stolen car parked near my home. The dispatcher, Amy, was pleasant and professional, however, the officer who contacted me was rude and condescending. I realize that everyone can have a bad day, however, some of his remarks were unprofessional. This month there was an article contained within the Golden Informer introducing the new Police Chief as well as his objectives related to auto theft and crime. With that said, I thought that I was doing the right thing when I contacted the GP about a potential stolen vehicle. Two of my neighbors suggested that I contact the new police chief regarding this officer. Since I could not find his contact information on the GP website, I decided to email the City Manager and my local Councilman. They both responded immediately, expressing their concerns and assuring me that someone in the Police Department would contact me. This afternoon, less than 24 hours after I spoke with the rude officer, a Commander called me. He listened to my complaint and shared some valuable information related to non emergency police departments. He turned a bad experience around.

Officer Barr is stellar! My sister lost her phone by the creek and he brought it to our home. How personal and caring; true western hospitality. We have lived in Golden two years now and must say we feel very safe due the incredible police force. We love you all dearly thanks again! !!!

I ran into officer J. Garcia, unfortunately I did something really ignorant right in front of him. I must say he was very courteous and professional working with me and my situation. Have never had a bad experience with Golden PD, this dept is professional as well as officer Garcia.

These guys are awesome! I found a stray dog that I couldn't keep and the shelters and animal control were all closed for the day. Golden PD dispatched an officer to my house and he brought the dog with him so he could be cared for til the next day. For all the people complaining on here get over yourselves. These men and women are doing their jobs and following golden law like they were HIRED TO DO. If any of you ungrateful swines ever need to call 911 think back to your nasty reviews and ungrateful attitudes.

I think they are doing a good job other than the bar fight that involved a 4 year old child. I have watched the video several tomes and see no reason to arrest the father considering he was beat Dow profusely and the first thing the police does is arrest the victim and then go after the perpetrators. What is wrong with the police department, my opinion is for the police to do there job and quit jumping to conclusions and go after the actual law breakers like the woman doing nothing the protect the child and stay hidden behind the counter.

Ok. Friday the 12th at 1am my husband had been pulled over for a failure to signal,which I find hard to believe because he was already sitting in the parking lot of my job in Golden at Jack in The Box. I was getting off and I was finishing up my work I walked back to the car and officer Lyons asked me for my ID I had came into work at last minute so I forgot it. So I had asked him why do you need my info he didn't explain nothing just said ok ma'am put his note pad back into his pocket and grab my wrist and proceeded to detain me until I gave him my information which by law I do not have to do if I am not the one being questioned. Well as he is holding my hands behind my back I got EXTREMELY VERBAL. WHICH I SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE. So I scream to my husband to video record everything that was happening. He kept telling me I was resisting arrest but I'm not arrested because o have yet to give my info. How can I be resisting something I'm not in. So as I call for my husband to record another officer comes and pushes me against the front window of my job, and I'm only 5'1 110lbs. No need for two full grown men between 170 180lbs not hurting but forcefully pushing me up against the window. I am pleading for them to stop so I can give them my information but it they wouldn't. Yes I was way wrong for acting like a kid and not just giving my info and copporating but I was standing up for my rights that GOLDEN POLICE department does give two cares for. So I will admit to my wrong doing 100 times over but will they admit to their own, I hope so because when I go to court I have lovely footage of this all taking place from my jobs video fooplease if I'm wrong in anyway for misinformed let me know.

Officier C. Farric Badge #18-1 is the absolute deffinetion of a walking lawsuit! I use to think the GPD was a respectful, honest, and law abiding lawforce; however, over the years and yet agien today I am shown otherwise. Unbelievable, but very thankful for having lawyers that actual know the law.

Thanks so much to both the Golden and Morrison Police department for helping me relocate a lost wallet within hours. Great job and thanks to the citizens that helped. Extremely friendly staff at both departments.

I have met many police officers in the town due to my job and every time I call them they are here within 30 seconds; it's very impressive!! Thanks for making me feel safe love you guys!!!!

I have had to deal with the police and court on a few occasions and MOST of the police are awesome and caring. The judges were also very fair and fairly assessed fines.
