Volunteer Fire Department proudly serving the citizens of the Boroughs of Port Carbon and Mechanicsville Pennsylvania and surrounding communities.
Goodwill Fire Co. No. 1 is the only fire station of the Port Carbon Fire Department (PCFD). Also know as Fire District 59 from the county numbering system, PCFD currently fields a fleet of four vehicles and is staffed by a dedicated crew of volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians. In addition to fire protection, PCFD also provides a PA Department of Health Certified Quick Response Service (QRS) which provides rapid emergency medical response whenever an ambulance is called for in Port Carbon, Mechanicsville, Palo Alto, or Schoentown.
