Wow, such an incredible place. Located in the mall, expectations were low. Totally surprised. The food was absolutely delicious. Their steak delmonico steak was cooked to perfection, and quite lean for that cut of meat. Their garlic mash was insane, and triple brownie dessert just out of this world. Tons of seating inside, great for large groups, and outside, also. Service was extremely efficient and staff very polite. Reasonable prices, and awesome atmosphere. Easy parking immediately outside, with electronic open spot markers. Highly recommend and can’t wait to eat there again.
You go here for the beer and garlic fries! Everything else is blasé: the food, the service. We've been here several times and always hope it will be better. It's such a good location! But the servers are unmotivated. Last time it took 15 minutes to get a waiter to our table after we were seated. I hope it's improved since then!
Go to Gordon Biersch experience. This is a big restaurant with plenty of seating. Staff is attentive and able to offer advice on the vast menu options. Good place to stop for a bite to eat while shopping of waiting for a movie. Seasonal offerings and happy hour menu also available.
Good place here is what you need to know. Food is good for the price. The service is decent and friendly. Good selection of on tap beers. Friendly atmosphere. Specifically I had their house salad and a steak which were good. They also were celebrating Oktoberfest so the staff was all dressed up in German beer hall outfits. They also had live music. Think vocalist with someone else on rhythm guitar. They did play Daft Punk which was fun to hear live even if it was a cover.
A work neighbor/friend, who I knew is also fan of the great food selection at Gordon Biersch, decided to try Tysons Gordon Biersch restaurant at my recommendation. Our food was amazingly good - my friend ordered a salad entree and we shared GB's Ahi Tuna Nachos appetizer, which we thought was a brilliant concept! For my main dish, I ordered their Blackened Salmon Sandwich with fries, which was quite delicious. What ruined the dining experience for us was our rather stoic, rushed and rude server. We read many online reviews before making our reservation and the recent ones in particular did not look too good... However, we were still hopeful that our dining experience might be better - unfortunately it wasn't. On top of a rather unimpressive overall service, our server also ended up mixing up our credit card slips to sign, which was pretty consistent with his lack of care. We are still motivated by the quality of GB's food selection to go back, but probably will not be rushing to return there anytime soon - many restaurants in Tysons have raised the service bar quite high and so are our expectations. I still recommend this place for all the foodies out there that like a contemporary German-American dining.
Outstanding award winner for homemade, handcrafted local beer brews!!! This is a popular happy hour location "chain restaurant" in Tyson's, that nonetheless manages to stay authentic to its German/Central European roots. Cozy, warm Alpine atmosphere great for casual dates and after work gatherings. With traditional ethnic dishes such as bratwurst and sauerkraut to chicken strudel, it's a slice of Bavaria close to the big city.
- food was very good - staff were super friendly - service was great and quick - prices are not bad for the area - place was clean - drinks were made very well - good atmosphere - overall great experience - I'd highly recommend this place
Best german style beers around! A must go for homebrewers and for people who want flavored alternatives to dominant hopped beers around. Food was also nice. Our waiter was Mark, he did a great job and we had a very nice time, my 5yr old daughter also liked the menu. Yes, I would love to go and taste those beers again.
Excellent!! The garlic fries are out of this world delicious! The mushroon spaetzle side dish is very tasty too. Would love to see the Beyond Meat or Impossible Burger on the menu as sadly your homemade veggie burger is not that good: it's underseasoned and it lacks structural integrity as it crumbles.
The service here has changed dramatically, for the better, since the last few times we ate there. I used to go to every other GB instead. The manager Crystal is truly amazing. She always remembers us and makes sure we're well taken care of. Something very hard to find these days.
