This is an official page run by faculty in the Department of Kinesiology at Gordon College.
From communication between the brain and spinal cord, to oxygen delivery from the heart and lungs, to the muscular forces that propel your body into motion, the function of human movement is fascinatingly complex. Add in the study of sociology, philosophy, theology and psychology, and we explore what it means to enhance wellness and quality of life for all—from elite athletes to children to senior adults to individuals with special needs.
Gordon College Kinesiology students engage in hands-on learning as they investigate how movement is impacted by disease, age, injury and other factors. Our Recreation, Sport and Wellness students engage in a dynamic curriculum that explores the vital roles of physical culture, sport, recreation, adventure, fitness and well-being in the human experience. In the Gordon College department of Kinesiology, we build relationships that often last a lifetime. Follow our page whether you are a prospective, current, or graduated student to see what we are up to!
