The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) at Gordon College in Wenham, MA encourages and equips students to start new and noble ventures.
“My passion is to empower every Gordon student to launch something in the marketplace of ideas and ideals. The Center is designed to inspire and equip those courageous enough to dig deep, reach out and start up.”
- Director Carter Crockett
One of the first of its kind amongst Christian liberal arts colleges and universities, Gordon College is leading the way in creating the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. CEL launched in the fall semester of 2013 and began pushing several initiatives including a social venture challenge for students which is done every spring semester, weekly coffee meetings at a local cafe featuring a different entrepreneur for students to connect with each week, mentoring programs with entrepreneurs, a social venture club to gather students to meet, collaborate, and encourage one another in entrepreneurial pursuits, global immersion seminars in Rwanda during the summer for credit, the innovation and social enterprise minor, and a seminar series for student to further engage with entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurship with a vision and drive for Kingdom impact is what drives CEL and its mission to equip students and serve as a resource and instigator to fuel the entrepreneurial spirit at Gordon college. Encouraging risk, courage, and faith in these pursuits are among our top priorities.
