Not to be mistaken for a base camp where scout will stay the night, Goshen Camp Post is the location of the COPE and Climbing centers of Goshen Scout Reservation. This is the location for all scouts throughout Goshen who signed up for either the COPE course or the Climbing Merit Badge. Many scouts from throughout the reservation also travel through Camp Post to experience both the exciting facilities, along with the beautiful scenery.
Camp Post is located on the furthest south west face of Lake Merriweather, just west of the Dam. Located on a hill overlooking the lake, scouts who visit here can take in a new breathtaking view every day. Each days view is unique, as the weather changes the view of the lake and surrounding mountains in stunning ways. If you are traveling in or out of Goshen, make sure to stop by to take in the view!
