Government Lake Lodge

Had a wonderful dinner. It was All you can eat Pollock night and the fish was absolutely perfect and delicious. Our server was fast, friendly, and always came at the right time to check up on us. You have such a gorgeous view of the lake while you're eating as well. I absolutely love coming here and always look forward to coming here to eat.

So good! The food is good. The prices are good. The views are good. The staff are on point. I genuinely appreciate not having to wait forever, even when it's busy. We've been here several times and have never had a bad experience. It's a great place to have a beer, watch the game, and enjoy the view. It's a great spot year round! They even have fireworks around the fourth of July!

Meals are small, expensive and poorly prepared. Fajita plate literally had 4 small pieces of chicken, burnt onions and hard, stale, old tortillas. The nachos ingredients hadn't even been distributed, the ground beef was in one corner, the chicken in another and most of the cheese in a third. The only good thing about the experience was the view and polite service.

Staff was great atmosphere is relaxing food was yummiliciousness BUT THE BLOODY MARY BAR IS AMAZING

It just wasn't a good experience. My steak was flavorless and gross; I dont know how else to explain it. Potatoes came out cold. It was supposed to come with sauteed onions and mushrooms; I had to ask for them after my meal came out, onions were still hard.

Food was great, service was amazing, free wifi, would definitely recommend coming here. Only "problem" was there was no breakfast at 11:30, but they have a banner that says breakfast up all day.

Really good corn beef brisket and the most authentic poutine I've found this far south of Canada.

Wow!! We were so lucky to find this place! We called close to closing time and they made us some amazing cheeseburgers. I mean truly delicious - even the pickles were the best. We can’t wait to come back and eat on the deck. Even in the dark the view was lovely.Service: 5/5

Unfortunately, this was probably one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Drinks came out quick, but then our waitress didn't come back. We watched her serve multiple others who sat down after us and after 30 minutes, we had to hunt down another waitress to take our order. The original waitress came over and apologized, but basically admitted she forgot we were her table. The food took another 40 minutes to come out. We both got fries that were soggy and cold. We would have asked for new ones, but who knows how long that would have taken. Overall, we were there for over 2 hours and really don't have anything good to say about it. Really hoping it was just an off night.
