Movies in July and August 2023 Omg, this is the best movie theatre I’ve ever seen in my life! The seats are so wide and comfy, you can heat them. Awesome experience, thank you!
This is a nice movie theater. It has a rewards program a free and paid version, a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, and it also appears to have a bar. Those are all nice, but the thing that stands out the most, to me, is the reclining chairs. You can lay back in your chair however much you want by pressing the control buttons on the side. It makes watching a movie extremely comfortable and relaxing. I look forward to going back to this theater again; even paid for their advanced rewards program the day after visiting. The only thing I don't like is how you get your concession stand items. You order your popcorn or food at the counter first, then you go to another counter to get your drink cup and to pay for everything--including your popcorn, drink, and candy. The reason I don't like this is because it feels like too many separate ways to do one thing. After you do all that, you still have to fill up your drink at the FreeStyle Machine. Just seems like it slows you down a lot instead of speeding things up. But other than that, I'm really glad they reopened this theater after Covid.
Im loving the new theater upgrade! These recliner seats are so nice and you have so much space to walk around. They are also heated which is nice. They have the love couch also in the front but that's way to close to the screen. I have it 4 stars because getting food took me 20 minutes. They also don't have card readers to have your phone pay. It's 2023 and everyone is paying with tap to pay now. Also it's much much faster to checkout with.
Went to see John wick 4. Loved the whole experience. I recommend buying your tickets online. You skip the line and really feel important. I really enjoyed the fact our food was brought to us and we had cuddle seats. There was more than enough room for me and my girl. The sound and film quality was amazing I will be watching all future movies here. I recommend you do the same.
I've lived in South Haven for 4 years now and lived in the surrounding towns for 5 years before that. If I wanted to see a movie, I was either going to Cinemark in Valpo, The 49er Drive-In, or IMAX 16 in Portage. That being said, at the time they all suited different needs, so I would attend all three in balanced quantities. However, when the covid pandemic took full swing, IMAX 16 shut down and was seemingly closed permanently. We waited for a couple years with bated breath before we found out our beloved movie theater was being purchased by new owners. People had mixed reviews, but there was a general consensus that we were happy the theater would reopen at least. Now enters Emagine. As time progressed, more information was made available to the public, renovations were planned and opening day was announced. I myself had never been to an Emagine theater before. I didn't know what to expect but I wasn't picky and just wanted to see movies near my house. That being said, I could not have been more wrong. Emagine purchasing IMAX 16 was the best thing that could have happened. The theater exterior is as extraordinary as ever, but the interior is massively improved. The seating situation improved in many ways: adding heated recliners and cuddle seats, reducing the number of seats in a theatre, and having ample walkway space as a result. The food selection has increased and a bar was added, prices are a bit high, but that's par for the course for movie theaters. I don't think the price increased much, if at all, after the new owners. The rewards program is a nice addition but I have not really gotten any use out of it so far. For others that may be different. Overall, I think it's clear to see that I am a huge fan of the theater and would recommend anyone check it out.
An awesome place to view a movie. The new seats are the highlight. They are large, comfortable and they recline. There are fewer seats per theatre, the restrooms are clean and there are plenty of concessions.
A great time to be had!! I stayed for two movies and the staff was kind as can be. The bartender made great drinks and though I purchased my tickets online the staff still helped me figure out where to go. The seating is fun and relaxing! The staff bringing food to those in the theatre were discreet and I almost never noticed them! I LOVE the portage theater!
This is the 2nd Emagine Theater that I've visited. I'm pretty sure and sold that they are all the same. I really do like the set up and options that they give. The place was crowded and we had to end up sitting in comfy couches. Service was ok from the concession, I know it was busy, but I felt super rushed to make my choices. The host that sold us the tix was kind and patient as well as Informative and accommodating. I will be going back. Oh we saw the Little Mermaid and it was a packed theater!
Best theater in the area hands down! Full leather reclining chairs with heated and cooled seats. Tons of different food options.
Outstanding theater. To start with, I ordered the cheese curds from the concession stand and they were probably the best cheese curds I've ever had. I also like that they had the soda machines where you could select from dozens of options. The food/drink options alone set this theater apart from the competition. The particular theater I was in had reclining seats that were very comfortable. I got to see a great movie, with excellent food, at a reasonable price. I'm sure I will be back!
