It’s a good place to start training. The professor is ok. If you plan to stop training here make sure you call the corporate office or they will charge you for an extra month.
I started training here about 3 years ago. I absolutely love it. It has improved every aspect of my life. Gracie Barra is the premier academy in Northern California. If you have any interest it checking out a class give us a call! intro classes are free and it is an incredibly friendly and welcoming academy. If you have any desire to check out JiuJitsu my recommendation is don't worry about people being to rough or anything like that.... it's not like that way. Wonderful Professor! great instructors and coaches! it is an egoless enviroment that you will enjoy :
This is by far the best academy I have trained at so far. Professor Aparecido is extremely knowledgeable in BJJ and is very dedicated to helping his students to become the very best they are capable of being. He goes above and beyond to help his Jujitsu family. All of the coaches are highly qualified, extremely helpful and will answer any questions you have about a technique. I trained at Gracie Barra Rohnert Park for 2.5 years and noticed a huge boost in my confidence, not only in my physical fitness level but also my everyday life. All the students are very friendly, which makes training even more fun. As soon as I move back to Sonoma County I will continue training here. I highly recommend this academy to anyone interested in just checking out jujitsu and especially to those who are seriously committed to it.
Gracie Barra is a great place to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Bill is an awesome teacher with a lot to offer. Not to mention his great coaches who are always helping people improve their Jiu-Jitsu. You will experience great Jiu-Jitsu, get a good workout, and establish new relationships. I highly recommend that anyone desiring to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in the Sonoma county area, should check out Gracie Barra Rohnert Park.
I've been training at Gracie Barra Rohnert Park for over seven years. This is an excellent family oriented Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy. I love the training and the comradery with the great group of people that train here. Head instructor Rich is very knowledgeable about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a smart and funny guy. The coaches are very knowledgeable and passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The facility is large, clean, and well maintained. Come check it out!
I have been training for about two years and have really enjoyed the experience. Great environment, everyone is welcoming and friendly. If you're interested in giving BJJ a try , I highly recommend Gracie Barra Rohnert Park. You too will love it like I do!
If you're even considering training please check this place out, or better yet call and schedule to try out a class with Ross. Gracie Barra has changed my families life in an amazing way. My 6 yr old started about 10 months ago, my husband 3 months, and I just started this week! Everyone there is knowledgeable, kind and welcoming. I've seen all levels from professional MMA to 4 yr olds there, and somehow they manage to accommodate all. So thankful to have my family be under the guidance of Professor Bill, Professor Fabiana and all the coaches. Seriously check it out!
My boys have been learning at GBRP for 2 years and they love the classes. The kid's classes are really the best I've seen. They have multiple coaches on the mat in every class. The approach to the kids is superb. They treat the kids like people and not income. All of the coaches, including Professor Bill, are very accessible. I really have been impressed with the culture at GBRP and plan to start training myself very soon. You will not be disappointed once you decide to start.
I am 14 years old and have been training at this academy for almost 6 years now and have made so many Amazing friends along the way. My professor has been as supportive as possible helping me not only with the Jiujitsu, but also becoming a better person too. I highly recommend this academy too anybody.
I have trained at GB Rohnert Park for almost 8 years During that time my goals have varied from self defense to fitness to psychological and everywhere in between. But no matter what my mood or goal for the week or day, the Academy always has what I'm looking for. That's probably what I like most about training at GBRP - if you want the physical challenge, it's there. If you want the mental challenge, it's there. If you want both, you can have both. Or if you just want to get out of the house and enjoy time with a great, diverse group - that's there too. Would highly recommend to anyone, male or female - kids to adults.
