In addition to teaching kids to deal effectively with bullies, Bullyproof focuses on character development instilling necessary life skills everyone needs to lead to success in all areas of life.
Adult students begin with Gracie Combatives® Originally developed for the U.S. Army, Gracie Combatives® is dedicated to the mastery of the 36 techniques. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu has proven to be the most reliable system for a smaller person to defeat a larger, more athletic opponent. The techniques are based on precise timing and effective use of leverage so that virtually anyone can do them, man or woman, regardless of their age or athletic ability.
History
Established in 2001
Originally, "La Jolla Soo Bahk Do" Matt Becker started teaching full time martial arts programs to children and adults. In 2008, Becker participated in the Gracie Instructor Certification Course held at the World Famous Gracie Academy in Torrance, California. After being Certified by Rorian, Ryron, and Rener Gracie under the authority of Grand Master Helio Gracie, Matthew Becker started teaching 100% pure Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to his students.
