Graduate Student Association at Gallaudet University
This organization is of the graduate student body, and for the graduates.
"Gally" is the world's ONLY University for the Deaf!
The purpose of the Graduate Student Association (GSA) is to serve as a representative body for all graduate students enrolled at Gallaudet University including full-time, part-time, and special status students. An important function of GSA is to represent graduate students that have concerns regarding graduate program directors, department chairs, and deans, as well as other non-academic areas of Gallaudet. GSA also provides graduate student representation to every academic committee. GSA is supported by a portion of the unit fees paid by graduate students. Therefore, it is the responsibility of GSA to ensure that all graduate students have an opportunity to take advantage of the services offered. An emphasis is placed on social activities, which include monthly events and special events at the beginning and end of each semester. GSA is also committed to providing graduate students access to current technological equipment.
