This place is simply a dumpster fire. How this dr continues to be in business with his office staff is just bewildering. It skirts on the edge of malpractice. Please do your research and read reviews before making a decision to be treated by these clowns. He may be a qualified doctor and he may give outstanding medical care, but it is all overshadowed by the horrible front office staff. Rude, obnoxious, careless, snarky, I could go on. I refuse to do business with any doctor who is not a partner in my medical care. This place simply isn’t. I hope Kyle the pa sees the light and gets out of that place before he is stained by what goes on there
I've been seeing Dr. Mat and Kyle Fitzgerald since 2013. I've never had an issue with the providers, nurses, front desk or lab. I love this doctor. I am not sure why others are unhappy.
I have been seeing this doctor for about 2 years now. They are thorough and when I expressed my concerns about needing additional tests, I was heard and Dr. Matt and Kyle researched the tests I was asking for. The staff has been nothing but friendly to me and all of my appointments have been in and out- no waiting. They are very prompt and efficient- which is a nice change from the many specialty doctors I have seen who are usually running behind by an hour or two.
My client is a new patient of Dr. Mack, who is so far a very thorough doctor. She had some very unusual test results, so he’s rescheduled her to repeat them in a few weeks because of insurance reasons. Most do the staff is okay and professional. But there is this one staff member in particular who is black girl isn’t professional at all. She needs a few tips on being polite. You don’t “Hunni, baby, sweetheart” patients. I’ve been trained to know and use “yes sir or no sir, yes ma’am and no ma’am”. Her hair, nails, wearing sunglasses to a professional workplace isn’t professional. I don’t know how often you all check the reviews, but they need to be checked more often.
I was a referred patient with cancerous nodules on thyroid. My appt was at 2:45, I was there at 2:20, filled out paperwork with plenty of time to spare before appt time I live 2 hours away. I wasn't called in until 3:30. I found it ironic that a sign in the lobby said they'll charge you $50 if you miss an appt time- what about when THEY miss your appt time? I found the office staff to be arrogant & unfriendly. The exam room was large & very nice. It seemed more like a spa room & it even smelled nice. Dim lighting & relaxing. The music playing was a nice mix of easy listening 80's. As for the Dr, he seemed interested to help me, but he has a very dry personality & could lighten up a bit. Even though it took a month to get this appt, he hadn't done a case study nor did he have any of my prior records prepared, fortunately I had copies with me. Bedside manner is very important to me, especially when you need reassuring you're going to get the best care. I felt like a number rather than a woman nervous about cancer who would have like HUMAN interaction instead of feeling like I was at the DMV. FOLLOW UP: 1 month later The staff never scheduled a ACTH test Dr wanted me to have. Dr seemed very aggitated that they didn’t. I had to call for results and they FORGOT to call hospital to ask for them TWICE! The staff “Dana” said she’d forward results of lab work to my Dr & never did. My Dr had to call for results twice. Frustrating!
I am very upset about my experience today. I had an appointment fasting for blood work at 8:30 am. Arrived at correct time, signed in and waited, and waited, and waited. I also noticed the nice sign they have about “charging” you if you don’t show up for YOUR appointment. I also want to know what WE receive when y’all dont keep YOUR end? I babysit my granddaughter and had my daughter bring the baby to her office thinking I would be right behind her to get the baby. My daughter works for a law firm. The baby is 4 months old. At 9:15 I went and asked how much longer and she said I had three more people ahead of me still! She THEN told me APPOINTMENTS DONT MATTER!!! WHAT?? I waited a long time for this appointment and now people who walk in with NO appointment get in first!! What? She then told me I could have come at 7:30!! WHAT? I sure would have! But now, I had to drive 35 minutes to get there $7 bucks gas, my daughter had to miss 45 Minutes of her work $ 25. Then I had to drive 35 minutes back home $7 more bucks gas not to mention the 2 HOURS for NOTHING!! So, I think they not only own me an apology they also owe me money for my inconvenience. And, no one even called to reschedule or offer a different time. I am sad that this is the way they treat people. We also have lives that matter.
I was referred to Dr Matt when I had some thyroid issues. I had seen another doctor at BR Clinic, and he didn't listen to my concerns about the Metformin he had me on. In speaking with Dr Matt and explaining my issues, he told me that was an allergy to the medication and the other doctor should have known that. He prescribed a new med and it was a little too much, so as soon as I called with issues, they got me in immediately and he changed meds. I have been on the newest meds for 2 years and it has been amazing. I've never waited longer than 15 minutes for doc appt, and usually go straight back for labs. He is very thorough when explaining labwork and Thyroid U/S. He is very soft spoken and cares about his patients.
Dr and PA are great but, office staff is very lacking had numerous problem had to switch doctors because of issues with billing not wanting to pick up the phone and call my insurance company but, rather continuously bill me every 3 months...SO when i picked up the phone to call my insurance comp. My claim was denied because they dont have a tax info on file for the DR. NOT something i can EVER provide. Requested to speak with the billing / office manager several times never got a call back. I finally switched providers as i do not want to deal with this. I had been with him way too long to get all these run arounds. Seems there are not alot of endocrinologists in BR but, there are some that are taking new patients so dont take you current patients for granted as they just might switch like i did. Dr. Mat dont let your office staff and nurses ruin your practice. Also when they switched offices no one every notified me. I showed up at the BRG and was told they moved offices 20 mins away!!!!!!!!!! WOW very upsetting even years after the incident.
My wife has been referred by dr. Mccollough. An ultrasound revealed she has a mass in her throat. Its been a month n we haven't heard anything about scheduling an appointment for a biopsy. We are stressed beyond belief n I can't even get through to speak with anyone. When my wife did get through a nurse said she couldn't handle scheduling n hung up
Both my husband and I are patients of Dr Matt and have nothing but good things to say! The staff are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Dr Matt and his PA Kyle are very informative, thorough, consistent, and approachable if you have any questions or concerns.
