Abdul Majid Khan, M.D. is a practicing Psychiatrist who was born and raised in Southeast Louisiana. He completed his Psychiatric training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and Ochsner Medical Center, having started at Charity Hospital before Katrina. He has served as Medical Director of several Acute Inpatient Psychiatric facilities, Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs in the private sector. He has been on faculty as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry with the LSU Department of Psychiatry in New Orleans and on staff, in the past, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He has also served as Behavioral Health Medical Director with Amerihealth Caritas Louisiana to assist with their transition in providing Mental Health to their members. He is now Staff Psychiatrist at Seaside Health Systems’ Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital & Associate Medical Director of Oceans Behavioral Hospital in Baton Rouge.
Dr. Khan is a member of the Louisiana Psychiatric Medical Association & American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Khan is now accepting patients, ages 16 and older, at his conveniently located Baton Rouge clinic. He has considerable experience treating all ages of adults, including Seniors.
