The GRAMMY Museum is great for people who love music and the award show. There are outfits and musical instruments worn and played by plenty of famous singers from all around the world. There is a floor dedicated to women in country music, including some of Taylor Swift's outfits. Another wing has a section dedicated to Bob Marley and his family. There is a small section with a long line just to take a photo with Michael Jackson's memorabilia including the jacket he wore in the Thriller Music video. I came on a free museum Day and do not think it is worth the full admission price as the museum is quite small and you don't need more than an hour to calmly explore all the floors.
If you're into music this is definitely a place to see. Great displays and wonderful music everywhere you go. The evolution of the Grammy was pretty neat to see how it's grown through time. We breezed through pretty quick, about an hour but you could easily spend more time reading all the info and watching the video clips. There's a little spot with places to sit and watch Grammy performances and awards. It was hard not to sing along and groove a little. You take the elevator to the top to start your journey and work your way back down. Small gift shop.
Small museum with great temporary exhibitions. Some memorabilia is incredible I saw Michael Jackson's Thriller jacket and Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA cover outfit. Worth the visit, though it's smallVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$16–20
Went to the free museum day event. Great place and exhibitions. Very tasteful displays. A great peek into music history. I highly recommend.
I was in LA for two weeks in which we visited both The Academy Museum, Dolby Theater Tour, Warner Bros, Paramount, Universal Studios and The Grammy Museum. I'm a huge Hollywood buff and huge music buff + i follow all award shows most years, but I must admit The Grammy Museum was a massive dissapointment in comparison to any of the other places i visited There was barely anything relevant in there, barely any exhibitions and barely anything interactive. Furthermore the artits were seemingly random and so many grammy winners were nowhere to be seen. Also the amount of exhibition is so little that its not even enough for the 20$ you pay in entrance, which is even quite cheap, but yea really nothing special about that museum sadly. The plagues on the street outside are super cool though, kind of like a Grammys Hall of Fame and 100% free to go check out !!
My daughter and I were looking for a rainy day activity and spent a couple of hours at The Grammy Museum. If you like music, pop culture and musical history, you’ll enjoy walking through the exhibits. It was interesting and fun!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$16–20
Easy to navigate. Very informative. Really enjoyed looking at all the fashion, instruments and records from different eras. They also had some interactive bits and videos to watch. Highly recommend!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$16–20
The museum has 3 floors of exhibits. Several genres there. It was an ok exhibit. Felt like there could have been more. Parking is $10 for 2 hours. Several restaurants around the LA Live area.
In tears of excitement and joy!! Super awesome museum, quick visit and loads of cool things. Wish their shop was bigger and had more Grammy related gifts... There was only a couple of things available - T shirts and mugs... I wish I could have a miniature of a Grammy!!Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$11–15
A music lover's paradise. The memorabilia was amazing. We walked through the museum today to get out of the heat- it took us about two hours. The video samples of past Grammy performances and the immersive sound experience were my personal favorites. My only complaint is the exhibit on the fourth floor had parts completely out of order, and other parts completely unintelligible.
