The Granite City Fire Department provides Fire/ Rescue, Advanced Life Support EMS, and Fire Prevention Education to the people of Granite City.
For over 100 years, the Granite City Fire Department has been providing exceptional emergency services to the citizens of Granite City. These emergency services include Fire/ Rescue duties, Advanced Life Support EMS, Fire Prevention Education, Technical Rescue, and Arson Investigation.
Our 60 full time firefighters are organized into three shifts and three stations. Between these three strategically placed stations, we house four ALS Ambulances, three Engines, two Ladder trucks, and one Techinical Rescue Trailer.
The Granite City Firefighter/Paramedics, Engineers, Captains and Shift Commanders are proud members of the International Association of Firefighters Local 253.
