I cannot rave about this place enough! Not only are the people extremely friendly, understanding, and helpful - they know what they are doing and they clearly have a deep admiration for dogs! My puppy has been coming here for daycare for months and he absolutely loves it! He has so many friends and the videos they post on Facebook solidify to me how much my dog truly loves spending his day here. He knows what his daycare days are, and he gets so excited as soon as he sees the building. We signed him up for their beginner training course to help improve on the areas where his behavior needs a little work pulling on the leash to the point of choking himself / jumping up to say hi / the standard puppy-not-listening when he doesn't want to schtick and after literally one class, we saw a MARKED improvement in his leash etiquette. We still have a long way to go, but the depth of knowledge and attention to detail that the trainer provides to every individual dog in his class makes me confident that we will only continue to be blown away. They give detailed demonstrations, observe how well you as the human executes the exercise, and issues any necessary corrections right in the moment to ensure we can execute his instructions properly at home. As a kid, I never liked homework. The homework given to us by the trainer has also proved to be such an amazing tool for at-home practice that has really helped to reinforce what we practice in class. The training courses are a bit more expensive than ones you'll find at the big chain pet-department stores, but I swear that the classes here are worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! You will absolutely get what you pay for if you invest in your future with your dog at GSDTC - I really can't recommend them enough! If you love your dog, bring them here!
I have been bringing all of my huskies here for training, grooming, daycare, and boarding since 2001. There is no other place I would trust with my fur babies!
We've had a great experience. We're in week 4 of training and my dog has improved quite a bit. Most helpful have been the tips and guidance on successful training. It really has been more about training us the humans. I feel like we're well on our way to a well-behaved dog who can accompany us around this summer.
Our husky did a week of in kennel training and has continued with more training once a week plus goes to day care here. Before he starting going here, he was very active and wouldn't listen. He is now a lot calmer and listens much better, still learning but has come a long way. I would recommend the day care and training to anyone but especially if you have a high energy dog, he comes home exhausted but is always so excited to go and play with his friends. Jim and the staff here are amazing.
This place is a great outlet for my very energetic dog. He absolutely loves this place and the people are great with him. A tired dog is a happy dog!
Favorite groomers! They are always friendly and easy to work with! I definitely would recommend to others!
We took our dog here for training and even a year later, we still talk about how life changing it was. The dog we brought in was not the same dog we left with, he is a better dog in every way because of their training. Anyone who says it didn’t work for them just didn’t do the homework. We were at our ends with his horrible leash manners yanking our arms off every walk, to the point I didn’t even feel in control, and it’s now been a solid year of loose leashes, I can push a stroller and walk him, and even pass another dog and he will stay healed. The trainers here are real heros. Also the daycare is amazing, our boy gets soooo excited to go and comes home barely able to stay awake from playing so hard.
Our trainer did amazing with our chiweenie Tucker. We highly recommend and will be returning.
Jim is so knowledgeable and patient and kind. We are learning so much and our new puppy is responding so well. Getting so much out of the classes. Highly recommend their training programs.
