Grant Street Art Studios is located at 19th Avenue and Grant Street in an Italian Renaissance Revival building that originally housed Denver's Central Catholic High School.
In the 1980's.the school was closed and converted into the Samaritan House, a homeless shelter which later re-located to a larger building at 23rd and Lawrence.
Little Sisters of the Poor operated an AIDS hospice in the South wing of the building until 2009 while Grant Street Art Studios occupied the North wing as it continues to do up to the present day.
