I was supposed to pick up two cookie cakes for $100 for my son and his friend that placed 3rd in nationals. I paid to have the cake fully iced. The girl called this morning to confirm order which made me excited that they were going to do them right. I was supposed to pick them up at 1pm. They called at 2 bc I hadn't showed up yet. I get there alittle after 2 and they had the one cake done and it wasn't fully iced and then they realized that they hadn't even made the second cake. I know people make mistakes but it was $100 and they didn't offer to give me a refund or anything. I was just trying to do something special for my son and friend and then the second cake he iced it white on white. Was just really disappointed in the way they handed it. My advise is pick up your cake way earlier than you need it if you use this location. They called the next day the manager called and took responsibility for the situation not being handled correctly. She told me she was deeply sorry. I appreciated them acknowledging that it was not done right and some of my money being refunded.
I’m not at all happy with this cake. The mermaid looks like a five year old did it!!! I’ve been getting cakes here for over 15 years & this will be my last!!!
Let me start off by saying the lady that assisted me with my issues at this location was super apologetic and helpful. It was not her fault and she definitely seemed upset that it happened. Onto the story, I called to order a cookie cake for a friend's b-day party the next day. I go to pick up the next day and my cake wasn't there. After they did some looking through orders, they went to the back and found my order in the back somewhere. Whoever I made the order with the day before did not place it in the correct spot for them to see it. They told me they had no sheets baked and that it would be at least an hour wait until they could bake and decorate a new cake. Since the party I was attending was starting in a couple minutes this was not really an option for me. Again, the lady was very apologetic and provided me with a refund. However, even when I was there observing none of the staff were dress appropriately, no hair nets were being used, and half the staff were just sitting around doing nothing. I ended up going to the other location in the mall that was able to decorate a cake for me within 10 minutes. The people at that location in the food court were super nice and had a dress code and the location was a lot cleaner. I will be ordering from them in the future.
Just ordered a cookie cake for a pizza themed work party, asked them to make it look like a pizza. It’s perfect and I’m cracking up about it, thank you pizza cookie angel, 10/10 fantastic work
My son’s birthday was at the end of March and he’s at college and I wasn’t able to be there for his bday. My initial cookie cake was supposedly delivered but my son never received it. Thankfully the owners were very helpful and made him another cake and made sure it was delivered to him directly. They even went a step further, called me to talk it all through and everything. Best customer service I’ve had in a long time! Thank you so much for everything you did!
The 3 ladies working at the 3018 location on April 30th around 5 pm need to work on their customer service skills. No one spoke when I approached and they looked annoyed. One was even on her phone. I am easygoing, friendly person and this type of attitude was uncalled for.
Always the best cookies. This is a must stop everytime we go to post oak! Sometimes we go just to get the cookies when there are many places that are down the street we could get them from but we choose GAC everytime and their cookie cakes are the best in town to us anyways!
Big shout out to the young lady and young man who were working last night very professional very kind greeted us with a smile told us about their cookies my friends & I purchased . They were so delicious. Met all our expectations. We truly recommend this place to family and friends. SEL
This place has gone down bad. The cookie cakes that have been coming out of here are thinner than onion skin and undercooked to the point of unappetizing. Sad, used to be able to get a half inch cooking cake that would at least support some candles. The cookie cakes coming from this place are more like a cookie roll up or something. Just not good…
Disappointed doesn’t begin to describe my experience. I ordered online and sent an email with my special request AFTER speaking with the manager. They had my email and phone number. They ended up with an extra 1 1/2 hours to get it ready since my pick up time was flexible. My cookie wasn’t close to being ready. Someone baked chocolate chip instead of sugar as requested. They were shaping the dough and getting it ready to bake. I was on my way to my event - no time for them to bake and decorate a cookie!! Nobody called to let me know there was a problem. I arrived to apologies that didn’t seem sincere and no options. I finally suggested I take a chocolate chip for my party and send someone to get the sugar I’d ordered and paid for later and just give it to the guest of honor. I cancelled the decorations and asked that they just put some white dots on it. They agreed and offered a $5 discount. I haven’t even been back to get the sugar cookie yet and they may have to call the police because a $5 discount won’t make this right. AND the chocolate chip cookie doesn’t even taste right! I have NEVER had a bad Great American Cookie until today. How do you even mess one up? This location needs HELP!!!
