This was my second routine cleaning at Great Hill Dental, and I couldn't be more pleased. What consistently impresses me about Great Hill Dental Somerville is how the staff explain everything that is going to happen before it happens, make sure to address all your questions, and do so both without jargon and without patronizing. The quality and speed of the cleaning was very impressive - I had Hanan, who is a delight to talk to as well as gentle yet quick with the cleaning. Would definitely recommend both this office and asking for Hanan.
I rarely post reviews, but I had such a terrible experience with this dental office. Their admin workers told me on three separate occasions that they took my insurance plan, only for me to get hundreds of dollars worth of bills from them after my insurance denied coverage. Apparently, they took a different plan from the insurance company but not my exact one. They also put my plan down incorrectly on their documentation. They dodged my phone calls and communication about this and took no ownership of their mistakes. Super shady office just trying to make a quick buck. Dealing with them was a nine-month nightmare. Dentist and hygienists were fine.
I have always had a pleasant experience at this office, both for general dentistry/dental hygiene and for my Invisalign treatments. Kim is an awesomely thorough and supportive dental hygienist. Dr. Bahadorian is a wonderful orthodontist and the work she has done on my teeth mainly for hygiene reasons, not really cosmetic has been stellar. The staff are all very kind and nice. The office is quite busy though, so don't always expect your visit to start right on time so bring some reading! I am a PCP myself, so I understand the pains of working in a busy practice so please be kind to the staff even if they are running very behind!
Excellent staff. My Dr. and Hygienist are both amazing. Very professional and understanding. They always discuss the options and don't pressure me to make decisions, especially expensive ones that can wait for a bit. I've been nothing but happy with all the staff in the office. It's friendly and welcoming from the time you walk in the front door to the time you leave. Definitely put this place on your list if your in the market for a dentist.
Khang is the best dental hygienist EVER! This young man is detail, thorough, knowledgeable, and very gentle with my very sensitive teeth I have many unfortunately. I've had my share of dental hygienists poking my sensitive teeth and created such fear for me, not Khang! Not once I felt uncomfortable. He recommended procedure to reduce my sensitivity and of course I listened! Highly recommend this office, and Khang specifically!
Going to a dentist can be a harrowing experience, but Great Hill Dental put my mind to ease and better yet, did wonders for my teeth, gums, mouth and general dentistry. I applaud the desk staff, dental assistants, dentists, and dental specialists, especially Dr. Goodman. All are professionals who also happen to be very courteous and friendly. My thanks to Great Hill Dental.
The supporting and dental staff is terrific and always welcoming! I hadn't been to the dentist in many moons which meant the work to be done was costly even with dental insurance so word to the wise go regularly to avoid this pitfall, but the folks at Great Hill - Somerville made it easy, and PAINLESS most important of all in my humble opinion in completing the care I needed to get everything squared away. I cannot recommend this office enough - Please keep in mind I'm the last person on earth you would have found touting anything medical, let alone a Dental office!
I have been a patient at GH for the past 7 years or so. I have good service all, but once. The sign of a well run office is when a staff acknowledge their patients despite being busy on the phone. Kang was my dental hygienist. He did a fantastic job while being personable. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you live the Somerville/Davis Sq areas.
I genuinely love going here for dental appointments. The front desk staff are super friendly and helpful, the waiting area has free coffee/tea/hot cocoa from a Keurig, and the professional staff are excellent. I've been seeing the same dental hygienist for five years now, and my visits with Inessa are like catching up with a friend. They also do email and text appointment confirmations and reminders, which I really appreciate.
I am blown away by the experience I received at the Somerville location. I went in with a nervous 6 year old. From the second I walked in the door, I was greeted by Kristal, a refreshingly pleasant, kind person that helped get us checked in. I was also greeted by Rosa, Khang, and Christine who genuinely seemed excited to see us. They were so friendly, and it absolutely felt like family. I feel bad, I did not get the dental assistants name, but she was very patient and kind to my daughter, who is a dramatic little lady. Dr Thaker then came in and was so thorough, understanding, kind, and did an amazing job explaining my daughter specific case. I felt confident in the treatment and the care that my daughter would be receiving. I look forward to going back.
