We really did have a good time. The check-in experience isn't my favorite. Compared to other resorts I've been to. The indoor water park is glorious! I love not having to stand in the sun while waiting in lines for rides! The wizarding treasure hunts are super fun for the kids. Although adults need to be prepared to go up and down a lot of flights of stairs! The Buffet was pretty good. The mining experience was fun for the kids. The arcade is not worth it at all, you're basically spending $2 per game. It's a little steep. The wolf pass was worth it! My kids love Build-A-Bear! We plan to go again.
We had a great trip and Great Wolf is nice but perhaps a bit outdated and could work on customer service in some departments. We used the valet service which was nice but at the cost per day I shouldn't have to search for the valet staff. Once we had one they were very nice. We had one of the bear suites and it was awesome from a space and amenities perspective. Some of the fixtures and carpet were worn out. This is a great place for kids as there are tons of activities to keep them entertained. Also the food pricing is very reasonable. I wish those breakfast tacos were made available every morning. The Oliver's Mining store on the first floor is super fun. I do recommend Great Wolf Lodge, just a few suggestions of things they can address. Rooms: The suites are spacious. We had the bear suite and it had a king in one room, two queens in a second room, a living area, kitchen area and two bathrooms. Our room was missing a couple faucet handles and the carpet was bubbled up in many spaces. We also requested the towels be replenished and we had to find a staff member in the hall to get the towels. They did not seem aware of our request. Also the room had three TVs, a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. Nearby activities: There are tons of cool activities in Great Wolf Lodge for all ages. If you are looking for something not too far away check out Meow Wolf. Food & drinks: The food was good and very reasonably priced. I wish they had room service but maybe we just couldn't figure the app out.
Glad we booked this on a discount rate. Full price isn't worth it. Kids had a blast in the indoor pool area but it was so dark an gloomy. Outside staff are not friendly at all, but that may have been the heat. Big slide and Zipline was not working. Make sure you return your their pool towels or bring your own and not the towels from the room. Food was just okay but pricey. The whole experience is geared towards a younger age level. Overall it was good and we would go back.
We had the best experience with my 3 year old nephew. Loved the option of being able to enjoy the outside water activities as well. Although expensive, the choice of food and drinks was awesome. We absolutely loved the breakfast buffet. The omelets were great! Can't believe how fun the bigger slides were! The tornado had me screaming! The room ac works great, and the beds and pillows were very comfy, which made it a great place to sleep. Can't wait to go back for more fun. Now the cons. The hotel interior could definitely use an upgrade. The duct tape on the uneven floor on floor 8's hallway is a trip hazard, and my nephew fell over it a couple of times. The hot tub that's inside needs a little help, as not very many of the jets work. Rooms: Good size, great ac. Nearby activities: Tons of things to do nearby! Safety: We felt very safe the entire time. Walkability: Easily accessible sidewalks. Food & drinks: Plenty of food and drink options. Noteworthy details: Fun place for all ages.
We arrived to a very welcoming front desk receptionist- she was great! But that’s where the greatness ended. We get to our room and it smells like stinky feet. Elevator smelled like diarrhea…everything smelled. Room was borderline nasty. Our bathroom mirror had carvings in it! And get this, when you purchase a soda here, they time you to fill it! You literally have to scan your cup and then have 20 seconds to fill it with soda and the ice takes 15 seconds to dispense so you’re left with a half full soda cup. I’ve never seen such a cheap establishment before…I mean how cheap can you be! Even Disneyland doesn’t pull that cheap card! Food was disgusting and again…so cheap. You order a $15 burger that’s supposed to come with all the fixings, but then you get a bun and meat. You have to ASK for the rest. Ugh, just SO CHEAP. Never again.
My family stayed over labor day weekend to celebrate 2 of our children's birthdays. We all had a wonderful time! The food was good but I'd highly recommend making reservations at the Loose Moose Cafe for breakfast as it's their busiest time. We had to wait about 1 hour for a table. Very family friendly and lots of activities such as arts and crafts, yoga, magic shows etc included in the stay!
The girl named Ashton at the front desk was extremely rude. She would ask me a question and as I would start to answer she would roll her eyes and talk over me and ask the next question. Then when I asked if the deal offered to stay an extra day was available, she immediately said no and didn’t even check. She had asked if we were celebrating anything, and I said my sons birthday, which she then responded rudely, “I just have to ask.”Then when it came to putting my card with a 100$ hold, she kept arguing that I couldn’t refuse, even though I had called before and they told me I could in fact have a 1$ hold instead of 100$ since I would not be charging stuff to my room and didn’t want it attached to my bracelet. Then all of a sudden she was able to do it, but of course she had to throw in rudely, that this would be the only time. At this point I asked to speak to a manager who she didn’t want to get, he came out and even though he was nice for the most part, still seemed to back her up because he didn’t think she was being rude, and told me that I was wrong. He also said that he would be coaching his team, which I guess extends to the customer service line, since they were the ones I had called, who had placed me on hold so they could directly call the grapevine location to confirm about the 100$ hold not being necessary. I had also called about parking to make sure if there was a parking fee or not, and was told there was not one. When I got there, I only saw ones you had to pay for, so I called to ask and the girl that answers did not want to tell me there was free parking in the back. It took forever to get her to admit there was free parking by asking multiple questions. I had also been told that the grey wolf ears everyone usually has are left in the room by other people at other locations. At the grapevine location they were not, so I had asked someone working there about them and he said oh no you have to pay for them, which is fine, I just had heard they were free. Apparently they were free if you howled in the gift shop at the checkout. I don’t mind paying for any of this stuff, but I had been told differently when I called to ask about all this. It just seemed most employees at the grapevine location just wanted to be nasty and not help much. The other employees in the actual water park areas and most stores were very nice. If you aren’t into slides, then swimming and floating and the kids playground are really the only things, which get a bit boring. Slides are definitely fun. The extra stuff on the paw pass was ok. And the arcade was super expensive. The points given are technically two games and you will have to to buy more. In the end though your experience is what you make it, despite the issues, and I made it fun for my son. Definitely won’t go to this location again though.
Had our family vacation here. Would have given 5 stars if the beds were upgraded. Not a cheap stay for cheap beds and if the elevator wasn’t one family per use they have about 6 elevators for only one to be opening at a time. Other than that we had a fun filled time there from swimming, to playing in the arcade and joining the activities throughout the day. Pizza is delicious from the pizza place downstairs, they have an ice cream/snack/sweet store and a Starbucks for my Starbucks lovers. Would recommend but definitely advise on the beds and the elevator use.
Overall experience at great wolf lodge with the family was great. The kiddos loved it an that’s all that matter. My kiddos rated it a 8 out of 10 an requested that they would love to go back again. I was very hesitant on going after setting up a reservation mainly because I had read a lot of the negative reviews an let me tell you it’s best to experience it for yourself and I’m glad we went. You can’t go into a family resort that I feel is basically for the kids expecting to have some adult fun or adult activities and again my husband & myself went so our kids could have fun time. The experience we had with the room we had overall was pretty clean, which I always do my own little Lysol wiping down an cleaning the whole nine yards. We opted out of trying any of the food at the location and chose to go get outside food because of the fear of paying high prices and getting mediocre food…sticking to what we know. The staff that was on shift during our stay everyone seemed very friendly/helpful. My husband didn’t feel like the gift shop had a lot of products for men souvenirs. I did feel like the rope course is a little unnecessary I didn’t see hardly any people out I don’t know if it’s due to the fact that it was too hot or what but I do feel like they can benefit more if they did away with the ropes an put like a large jump area for the kids. I can’t really complain about our stay but I can say again that my family enjoyed it. When in doubt just try it out yourself.
Very good place to have a child’s birthday. Complimentary wolf ears were a nice touch. Beds were comfy but the room was a bit out dated. The shower fixtures were loose but the water pressure was good. The paw soap was also a great detail. The pull out sofa bed was also surprisingly comfortable. A family of 5 can stay here comfortably for a night. We ordered a pizza for room service and it said it would be at the room at 7:30. At about 7:44 I got a text and said it was on its way. We waited until about 8 o’clock and it still never showed up. We went to the restaurant and it turns out they never put our order in so we ended up getting the pizza for free. The pizza was mediocre but the overall restaurant options are good. They have a good variety for room service or dine in. Easy check in
