As soon as you walk into this place you know that it is not top-notch and suspect it might be a place that hurts you instead of helps you. Not only the clientele but the doctors and staff as well are walking around like they just stepped out of a bad movie about a health center gone wrong. I've been waiting for 2 hours and 45 minutes and have yet to see a single doctor. I've been dismissed by every single person that I have spoken to. I have filled out the exact same paperwork three times for three different desks. I've hit a rough patch and my insurance is Medicaid now for the time being so my options are pretty limited. But I did not know that I had to scrape the bottom of the barrel and suffer through this type of treatment. Or lack thereof.. It's a rundown old facility kind of clean, not impressively so. Since I have yet to see a single professional on staff I cannot write a review about that. The waiting time alone and the treatment thus far does not instill any faith that I will be treated and acceptable fashion once I get in. Go anyplace else if you can. Avoid. You know how hard it is once you get an appointment to walk away. Just don't make the appointment here. I just called an advocacy person to come and help me get into see the doctor since everybody else here seems to think verbal abuse and/or ignoring is the way to go. Perhaps taking this route will actually get me seen. Fingers crossed.
Seeing all the negative reviews, I have to share that my experiences here have been consistently positive. I was just there this morning for a gynecological appointment and every person I encountered--from reception, to Dr. Akbas and staff, to the phlebotomist--was kind and helpful. It might get busier and more congested later in the day, but I was in and out of my 9am appointment like a breeze. Thank you to everyone at the clinic for taking such good care of me!
Every single time I come here I have to wait 1-2 hours to see my doc even if I had made an appointment. Once I came for a 11:30 appt and waited 2 hours to see a doctor for 10 minutes. The recurrence is this is unprofessional and quite frankly makes me want to switch doctors every time. If a patient is scheduled for a time, especially if the appointment was made weeks in advance, then it is unacceptable to make someone wait hours to see their doctor.
Really cool people, i guess my only issue the people around me said was that they aren’t quick, i mean i was chillin but everyone around me felt like they didn’t care. But i got my diagnosis talked to the doc pretty chill ngl. I also love the vending machine.
My wife decided to try this clinic for her pregnancy and overall very bad experience. No one knows what they are doing and its like chickens walking around with no head on. I wish we would of gone somewhere else, no communication between drs, and nurses its like you have to remind them about everything. One tells you one thing and another tells you another, horrible. We will be switching everything out from there get your own drs, check your insurance to see where they accept it.
I went here as a check up and the first thing I noticed is that the staff is really rude. Especially the lady in the front who checks you in. The doctor are typically ok. I also had blood drawn and the nurse doing this left me a me a scar. I donated a lot of blood before and this has never been a problem. Also my husband blood leaked out the tube when he got his drawn from the same guy. HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!
When I was pregnant a year & some change ago, I must have been about 3 or 4 months. I went to the ob/gyn here & seen a male doctor. I do not remember his name but he checked me. I told him I am having leakage on and off. He said he would do this paper stick test to determine what the fluid was. So he checks he then proceeds to say that my water broke and I need to terminate my pregnancy. He sent me to Westchester Medical Center and they did all types of test and told me my water did not break and my baby is fine. I now have a healthy 18 month old son.
I use to go to this clinic before I moved to the city, and all I can say is that I never had a problem with the doctors I've seen, especially Dr. Davis, as well as some of the staff hence the two stars. That being said, my parents still go here and are still waiting for their COVID results almost TWO weeks after getting tested!! Having to wait an excruciating amount of time to see anybody even after making an appointment is one thing, but you can't even get enough hands to efficiently process COVID results within the amount of time health experts assured us it would take??? This is truly unacceptable and sets a whole new low of professionalism considering how many people rely on getting tested but have to go through unreasonable amounts of anxiety because it takes forever and a day to determine if they are COVID positive or negative!
Changing my review. Before had it at 1 star but raising it to two. My first visit was at 2pm; had to come in half hr before appt to fill out paperwork as a new patient. Was shuffled among different windows before moving on to another location to wait to see dr Davis. Overall it took over 3 hrs to get my physical, a few referrals, and I still had to go back the next day for bloodwork because lab was closed already; 2 hrs & 45 mins of that was waiting. However, coming early the next morning was like day & night. I got in & left within 20 mins. The staff were helpful & friendly. My recommendation is that if you have to go here, make appts as early as possible in the morning. If you come in later expect long waits. Dr. Davis & staff were nice once you got to interact with them and Dr Davis did say they are working on fixing the long wait problems. But other reviews shows it’s still an issue.
As soon as I walked up to this facility, something immediately felt off. I had an appointment at 1:30pm & they told me to arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork because I’d be considered a new patient. NO ONE WAS AT ANY OF THE COUNTERS! When I finally did catch someone, she guided me to the forms then disappeared for about 20 minutes. Not sure if or why it’s policy that they ask you about household income when I have insurance??? But ok... When I finally signaled the same woman to tell her I’m done, she motioned for me to wait then disappeared again for another 30 minutes. Good luck to anyone who goes here!
