Over the last century, GHP has pioneered the field of ceramics in New York City offering courses in hand building, wheel-throwing, photo-ceramics, ceramic jewelry, glaze chemistry, kiln classes and sculpture, as well as classes for children and seniors. Our workshops and lecture series have brought ceramic artists such as Linda Arbuckle, Christa Assad, Rudy Autio, Sam Chung, Malcolm Davis, Chris Gustin, Tony Hepburn, Warren MacKenzie, Chris Staley, Akio Takamori, Jack Troy, and Peter Voulkos, to name a few.
Greenwich House Pottery maintains an ongoing exhibition series in our Jane Hartsook Gallery. The Jane Hartsook Gallery and The Storefront Gallery are committed to supporting both emerging and established ceramic artists, and to our educational mission of making, exhibiting, and learning from contemporary ceramics.
We offer a diverse program of classes for adults and children - Solo, Group and Juried Exhibitions - Artist in Residence program - Lecture Series - Masters Series Workshops - and Community Outreach.
