John, his wife, and friends had taken us in when we had lost our keys out on a trail - as it has started to rain and hail. Their generosity and hospitality really saved my girlfriend and I that day. They are amazing people, we briefly met their staff at their business - myself being in property management and seeing how well everyone carried themselves - I would not hesitate to choose them as a potential vendor for any and all projects that include any of their services offered. Great people with a great business who have been in town for almost 40+ years! Bless you! Sincerely, -Jacob & Jasmine
I am one of the Beeler Townhouse board members at Copper Mountain who had to make a choice among window contractors for a $400,000 window renovation project on an 1982 property. I also helped another Board member coordinate the project during construction. Yes, everything took longer, including responses from Gregory, but that is normal in a small county experiencing a building boom. I can say this because I was my own general contractor for our single family house in Frisco, 20 years earlier in another boom time. Nothing has changed. You never know what is in store when remodeling and everyone has to be flexible. Gregory found much of the window framing was rotted and it had to be replaced. This framing was also structural . Gregory took charge and quickly found framing subcontractors. They kept detail of all additional man hours and material costs so we could make a presentation to surprised and financially disappointed homeowners. The end product is great. From the outside the new windows took years off our property and on the inside our views are greatly enhanced. The windows are also much more energy efficient, reducing our heating bills. Win, win, win. I will use this company again and again.
We had great experience with Lori. She held our hand throughout the whole process and kept her eye on the details. We risked with bright red color outside and wood on the inside and it panned out well for us. Thank you!
We have a house in Breckenridge, CO with a number of crank style windows that were in need of repair. I called Gregory for help. It took a while to get the repair scheduled. I suspect the reason was due to how busy they are. The technician, Brandon, called to let me know he would be there shortly and promptly got to work. Brandon was courteous, very knowledgeable and did a great job. All of our windows got repaired and are working perfectly. Brandon also replaced the weather stripping on a door and adjusted the fit. Overall, Brandon was a great technician and I would strongly recommend Gregory Door & Window. It is nice to call a business, have them do a great job, respect the owner's property and charge a fair price.
The Sales Staff and Installation Crew were a pleasure to work with. They are honest, fair and very professional. We are extremely happy with the outcome of our new doors. Windows are next and we look forward to working with them again in the Spring.
Nice enough staff but pricing was off the charts. I paid $125 for them to tell me it would cost $1,700+ to replace glass only in 1 window 2 separate glazing units. Labor was over $1,000 for a couple hours work. I hired a competent competitor to do the job for half the price. If Gregory didn't want the work, then just tell me. Don't try to rip me off instead. Beware.
Eager to support a local business, as well as having had a positive "front door project" experience, we elected to go back to Gregory Door and Window for the fabrication and installation of a pair of entry closet doors. Five months from the time of receiving a quote along with providing the requisite 50% deposit, our closet doors were installed by Mike, from Gregory Door. Problem: the door casing was installed out of square with the ultimate knock on effect of the doors hanging out of square. One door handle hung lower than the other due to poor door installation. One of the doors was scratched. The door box latches were poorly installed and poorly located, so that the doors never closed correctly and rattled. Calls to Zach Fisher only netted us time spent waiting for him to visit the job site, which never occurred. A conversation with Mike who could not remember installing the doors netted the same results...ZERO! After much dialogue we paid up the balance and considered this project a very expensive project gone wrong...over $1700!! Over five months of waiting for doors, along with over $1700.00 spent has us feeling that we will never use Gregory Door again, nor refer them to anyone. Yes, I'm sure the excuse can be made that we should have been on site when the doors were installed, rather than providing a door key and trusting the job would be done correctly. End Result: we hired an independent contractor to dis-assemble the entire door system casing, doors and box latches to then reinstall everything correctly!! What We Expect: a cash refund of the $420 that was part of the original quote for door installation.
Zach was incredibly helpful in ordering our windows for the home we are building. He patiently answered questions and pointed us in the right direction to get windows that fit our design and budget. So thankful to work with an honest, helpful but not pushy salesman.
Complete waste of my time to have this company even get me a quote. I submitted a request in the summer 2020, I finally got a call back in Jan. 2021.They charged me $125 for an estimate. I waited over 4 weeks for the estimate. Then the price they quote me was SO OUTAGEOUS. Their quite was double of another competitor's quote. They want to charge me $66,000 for replacement of 15 windows. This is a "screw you" estimate. What a waste of time and $125. They clearly never wanted my business.
We built a custom home in Silverthorne and the original quote provided to me was $48,276.56 in the spring of 2015 when construction began. In May 2015 I met with the contractor and 9 windows were eliminated from the architects' plans and at least 6 windows became smaller. Would this not result in a less costly estimate?? Any thinking, honest person would say yes. However we were charged as if NO changes occurred to the window package. We were charged in 2015 $48,507.12 for our windows. Our windows were ordered in May 2015 after changes confirmed by Andersen and my windows were manufactured 6/10/15 and 6/11/15 stamped on the windows. delivered in Aug 2015 to the site. That we were charged improperly is obvious. In Dec 2016 I went to Gregory Door and Window and received the window package quote for $44,000 and when I got home noted we were overcharged in 2015. However when asked a day later why we were overcharged John Gregory refused to answer! My lawyer later asked him about the $44,000 quote and Gregory said he didn't recognize what it was!! Can you believe that? HE GAVE it to me. He opined it "must have been an early quote". BS. The early quote was $48, 276.56 before windows were downsized or eliminated. Run run run from these people. Evidence shows we were overcharged $4000. I told Andersen Windows they should not let this business represent their windows because of what they have done. Update: I see the owner has responded with gibberish. Are you saying the builder is equally as deceptive as you? I won't argue that. You have failed to say 1 why did John Gregory refuse to answer for HIS quote he GAVE to me in person? 2 why would your original quote NOT MY QUOTE not reflect a cost drop with eliminated or smaller windows? Answer that why don't you! I have uncovered a cabal of the corrupt in Summit County and most of them have slithered out of the defunct Myriam Enterprises. This business owes us $4000 but they refuse to admit it..
