Beautiful spot loved by artists who leave behind their work of stacked rock, twisted branches and dinner designs. To top it off, it's s beautiful river and decent fishing for little fish. Dog-friendliness: Lots of room for fido to run.
We were just driving through Llano and stopped to take a picture of the library. And found this awesome spot. Very cool and unique!
It's a nice little park to cast a few lines. The contribution to the park has been pretty cool. I think it's more for local anglers.
Love the small town experience, especially with a historic bridge and river.
cuz ya can git wet here, see critters! minnows that ain't skeered, multi_dragonflies, lizardos, and if ya keen, watersnakes... amongst sum dem earth lovin' druids who worship rocks Playground: it's amongst dem rocks kids, you can do it, don't be skeered! Restrooms: retro vintage, average condition, the locals are tryna spiff it up wit art. the water works, amongst #amurkan crumblin' infrastructure, so bonus! Dog-friendliness: yadda yadda dogs welcome, except dem yappy ones Picnic area: basic picnic tables, no grills seen
Always enjoy spending time at this park! Beautiful, clean, and practically no one else was there! Worth the drive from Austin every time!
The Leaf event at the park was fun. Loved seeing the creativity of the artists.
Such a great little town! The park offers a very easily navigated and scenic ingress to the river. Various sculptures are scattered throughout. Selfie Stations for those wanting to document their visit in that way. Also an outdoor amphitheater. I stop everytime I am in the area!
We were first introduced to this beautiful public park through the Llano Earth Art Festival. The park is both a gorgeous venue for this Festival a lovely public park year-round. The site is hilly with beautiful granite outcroppings and lots of interesting native plants. There is a public restroom at the top of the park near the parking lot, and you'll also find picnic tables. This is a gem in downtown Llano and it is very easy to walk to or from the park to the many other businesses on the square. You will find some interesting wildlife in this little Urban Oasis , and it is a good site for birding or fishing.
Interesting area. We were out exploring parts of Texas that we had never been to and found this place by accident. If you are in the area then you should stop by. They encourage you to take pictures and selfies and you can even send them to the town via a website. Friendly place and worth a visit.
