We contacted Paul Griffith to quote our move from Kelowna to Calgary. Paul responded promptly and provided an initial guestimate. He then went to our property to see what was to be moved, verify access into our building and how close he could park for loading. He provided a very good estimate and we settled on a date and time. He contacted us the day before to ensure we were on schedule. He arrived 15 minutes early with 2 helpers and the move was completed in under 2 hours. he had all the wrapping blankets and materials to secure the load plus 2 helpers. He gave us a delivery date and time back in Calgary that fit our schedule. Again, he called ahead and arrived 15 minutes early. We were off-loaded into the house in about an hour. Everything was accounted for and there was NO damage - an overall GREAT experience. I've never used a moving company in the past as I have heard numerous complaints from people throughout my life and was quite hesitant about using one, but with my recent back surgery and our friends unavailable to help I gave Griffith moving a call. They were surprisingly polite, punctual, efficient and respectful. Most importantly they were extremely careful with my items. Overall I rate Griffith Moving 10/10 and highly recommend them to anyone in need of a fast, efficient and professional move.
I booked Griffith to move one large and one small piano from and to two different locations. Paul called the day before to confirm the time, and he and two others arrived promptly. The moves were completed smoothly and efficiently, and I found the movers to be very professional and courteous. The price charged was exactly the same as the estimate. I highly recommend this company for specialized moving!
This company sent 2 men dressed in rough attire to pack up the belongings. They were unprofessional. Several items were being donated to charity, and Paul Griffiths himself asked about taking several of the items for his personal use. The packers failed to properly pad one piece of furniture with a large glass component. Then, instead of using a cushioned moving vehicle, a pick up truck driven by Paul's son brought the goods to our new home in Alberta in a U-Haul trailer. The furniture with glass was broken beyond repair, and due to its custom size, it could not be repaired. Griffiths did nothing to correct the problem except to offer $50 after BBB was contacted. Moreover, the cost to move was considerable, considering the rental of the U-Haul. Do NOT use this service!
Paul and his team came to my house to move a heavy piece of machinery into my basement. During the move, damage was caused to my walls, floors and door jambs. The claim process was drawn out but we eventually were able to find a solution that worked for both of us.
First when I called the guy answered the phone with a hello nothing else.... then when I said I would like a quote he asked me when I wanted to move told him my preferred weekend if it was available and he laughed said good luck with that then proceeded to hang up on me! Wow not professional at all I would never recommend this company to anyone
A few years ago I offered this owner a piano move to do cause I could not do it and honestly he asked me weird questions and was so snarky so I never called him again obviously to offer him anymore work. Would you?
Paul and his team are a pleasure to do business with, cost effective and trustworthy - all that counts in my book these days!
I would never use this company again nor recommend them to anyone. They damage your items and then deny it was them and take zero responsibility to make it right.
