The state of this store is a disgrace. After any sort of rain shower the roof leaks so badly that the buckets are brought out to try to prevent slip hazards. The freezers are constantly breaking down due to rain water ingress. It's been like this for years and the Co-op don't seem to take it seriously. There is sheltered accomodation within a hundred yards; these vulnerable people use this store as their local shop and have to contend with floors littered with buckets and rain water. It's appalling. EDIT: the state of the store still isn't improved, but I wanted to add a star because I didn't offer any credit to the staff who work there. They're all friendly, helpful, lovely people who frankly deserve a better working environment.
Honestly, the staff hate there job because they don't care. My partner had to complain about ants around the bakery stuff, food is always being sold in there that's past there sell by date and I went in with 2 big baskets full of food and they wouldn't open a big till up so it was easier for me, they made me use the small one where they sell tobacco and the member of staff was rude about it and referred to me as mate. Lazy staff and I personally think it shouldn't of just been the store they gave a fresh new look.
very small selection of products. Nothing like it used to be years ago - They used to have an electrical section - i bought a widescreen tv here - there was also a gift section , clothing . garden stuff and always plenty of fresh food ....but NOW its just badly designed - poor layout and lack of products ....and the latest upgrade is reflected in the high prices . The place looks smart outside but the store is seriously lacking inside .
Went as had £5 off voucher. Limited choice of fruit and salad items. Not as much choice on a number of things through out the store. Did a reasonably big shop and went to self service till. Bagging area is so small that 2 bags are about the maximum. If you move the bag the till needs to be reset by the assistant who was however helpful. Not certain I would change from my normal supermarket.
Always a pleasure to shop here, the staff are always friendly and helpful, well done all of you X
Gotta love the Co-op, couldn't afford to do an entire weekly shop in there.....for some reason, all Co-ops are super expensive, but it's a reliable local staple for your essentials! Their fruits and veggies are alway great quality and they do have a decent range of products. This particular one is the biggest in St Austell, a smaller one is located on Slades Road. The staff are friendly and the shop is well stocked and clean. They're under renovation at the mo, but rather than close down, they've opened a mini shop to the side of the building, that's bloody good community thinking there, so a big thumbs up from me!!
A great range of products in a convenient location. Friendly staff and easy to navigate. The 2021 refurb has hopefully fixed the leaky roof issues and made the layout so much better. Some items can be more pricey compared to other supermarkets but all are high quality.
Local ,Easy to access , massive amount of products available , friendly service , clean and feels safe with regards to covid restrictions . Work underway on the leaky roof so all in all great ! Downside - not their fault - large amount of drinkers and drug addicts hang about - never personally had a problem with them but off putting none the less
Good choice of products, carpark just to the side. Prices not too bad, I expected it to be very expensive. Easy access, plenty of space inside to help with social distancing, fruit and veg looked fresh and had some good offers on. Shop was clean and tidy, overall good.
Been to this local supermarket way too many times to say it's always fully stocked. Clean. Well organised and they don't move their products from one shelve to another to confuse you or distract you from buying more. While going to see friends away from St Austell - a great place to by some local produce: beer, fudge or cakes. Great prices. Wonderful location.
