Global & Sociocultural Studies Club (GSS) is a coalition of students and faculty interested in all branches of Sociology, Anthropology, and Geography. Everyone is invited to the meetings and all majors are accepted.

The Geography club at FIU aims to promote geographic literacy throughout the FIU community by engaging students and faculty who share common interests in the subject of Geography.

Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD) is an international sociology honor society dedicated to the idea of "Anthropon Katamanthanein Diakonesein", or to investigate humanity for the purpose of service. AKD seeks to promote excellence in scholarship, the study of sociology, the research of social problems, as well as other social and intellectual activities that will lead to the improvement of the human condition.
Requirements:
- Junior or a Senior by FIU standards
- 3.0 Cumulative and Sociology GPA
- Declared Sociology major/minor
- Completion of at least four Sociology courses (12 credits)
- Active Membership
- $40 one-time membership fee
Lambda Alpha (LA) is the international honor society for students of anthropology. The name comes from the initial letters of the Greek words "logos anthropou", meaning "the study of man". The society was originally founded with the purpose of encouraging scholarship and research in anthropology. FIU was awarded the Epsilon Chapter of FIU of LA in February 2012.

- 3.0 Cumulative and Anthropology GPA
- Declared Anthropology Major
- Completion of at least four Anthropology courses (12 credits)
- Active membership
- $25 one-time membership fee
