Dorm would be nice if maintained. It’s industrial style so you have to bring into that and I like it. However, there are roaches, our rooms were dirty on move in and gsu gave us a letter saying they hadn’t cleaned yetstill haven’t. Anddd there was mold in the bathroom. Several faucets did not work. Considering housing here starts at 5000 this is a joke
Why do you have lofts and a college downtown where you have to pay to park,one way streets, homeless people every where!If it was a school close to us that teaches what my child was studing to become then my child would go there!
They have a really bad roach problem and do the bare minimum to fix it. They also stuffed me and another person in a 4x4 room which was extremely uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend living here unless you have your own room and are comfortable with bugs.
could not recommend living here, I have not enjoyed living here at all. When I moved in my toilet didn't flush without dumping a bucket of water in it and it took until the end of the semester to get it fixed. Main reason is if you get a corner room with two windows, be ready to cook alive there will never be a moment where it is cold in your room.
Wouldn’t necessarily recommend living here. Im a GSU student and stayed here for one year before covid occurred. I thought it would be a nice place, but turns out it was awful. The only good feature about this place is that grad students and family can stay here. There is no lights in important spaces, such as the living room. The rooms are honestly small for the price. My room was a “ 3 bed “ assignment, although one bed or “ room” was literally set for the living room. This was a terrible idea, as far as noise from roommates coming in, cooking and privacy overall. There was no decrease in price for such a situation either. This place is a SCAM. Do not move here.
The concrete floors and exposed pipes don't make for a very comfortable atmosphere.
It's pretty garbage to live here. $400 a semester to park here. There is no cameras in the garage so if someone breaks in, you're out of luck. There is a scanner that checks your parking pass to let you in, but it works intermittently. The elevators scarcely all work at the same time. Several times only one has been in operation. The building contains roughly 500 residents yet there is like 20 washers and driers. All of this has been forgivable to me until recently when they decided to place routers into all of the rooms. My roommates and I had a very strong and capable router that provided us with reliable internet, but they have decided to ruin that as well and have forcibly placed an absolute garbage router into our room. The quality of living has steadily decreased during my stay here and I would not recommend living here. I can't speak to the other on campus living, but certainly don't stay here.
The view from the University Lofts at night is gorgeous! The room size is nice and besides that it is a five minute walk or a bit more to class. However, I cannot give it five stars due to the amount of TMA requests I've had to submit this semester for malfunctioning supplies/appliances. Some rooms have better equipment than others, but for the most part the maintenance crew is always nice and willing to assist.
It's alright but not terrible. It's a decent place to live. It has a small bug problem. It's a loft so it's not the most attractive place to stay. The floors are a little dirty and need some cleaning.
I struggle to understand how this place got the highest rating among all GSU residential halls. Staffs acted friendly to their friends but rudely and bossy to paying residents. I got reassigned from my chosen 8th floor unit to an old 1st floor one without being told the reason. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that to make room so their friends. The rent for 3 maymester weeks was $850. That's roughly about my parents' mortgage. I was expecting something modestly as good. Except there' NO OVERHEAD LIGHTS IN YOUR GODDAMN BEDROOM AND LIVING ROOM!!! I might as well rent a hotel few miles away for those 3 weeks then take a taxi to class, roughly the same price. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible
