Dedicated to the preservation of an unspoiled and undeveloped natural treasure, supporting a vibrant ecosystem and subsystems. Sea turtles, land tortoises, porposies, , manatees, roseate spoonbills, North Atlantic right whales...all these and many more live here year-round or are seasonal visitors.
Supporting the work of the GTM Research Reserve and the organization of Friends of the Reserve, whose stewardship and fundraising provide educational resources to teachers and students, a rich backdrop for scientific research and help resource the volunteers whose donations of time and talent do so much to enrich the NERR and its broader community.
Increasing public awareness of this breathtaking treasure, the research and education it conducts, and the astonishing range of flora, fauna and local history cradled in its environs.
