When you can walk up to a little window of a restaurant and there are a good 5-10 people waiting around for their food, you know it's gonna be good. I've lived in Bernalillo the last few years and have always been curious about Guang Dong. Let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great and unrushed, the food was delicious and generously proportioned. I even enjoyed the wait, standing and talking with regulars praising the food and eagerly waiting for their order. Guang Dong is definitely a must-try if you're in the area.
If your looking for great Chinese food This is NOT the place! We tried the Mangolian Beef and it was so slimy and had a horrible smell to it,also ordered soup and it had no taste to it, and I'm not sure how you can mess up on fried rice but they sure managed to make it look and taste horrible. It didn't even have veggies in it. There spring Rolls must of been made last spring because they were so hard and dry. Thankfully they had chile sauce it was the only good thing they had. I could go on but im sure people will hopefully get the point. Horrible food and bad customer service. Don't be 3 min late because they won't honor lunch special.
Excellent service, decent prices, and delicious food. Not a fan of the egg rolls here though and I wish there was hot jasmine tea only green tea and oolong available. Overall would recommend. EDIT: ate here again recently. lowered from 5 stars to 1. Rice tasted like the smell of an air freshener and my kid threw up after.
Me and my family came here for the very first time on August 2nd, it didn't take long to get our Togo food but the food was cold , and didn't get what we actually ordered .sad we really wanted to like this placeFood: 1/5
Food was stale, tasteless, and overpriced. Great quantities but that’s very much meaningless if the food isn’t good.Food: 1/5
Sad experience, what makes it worse is I’ve been a customer for over 20 years. Since they were located on the old hwy by the high school! Anyways. Placed an order found out it was wrong called them, the young man was a bit rude when I told him my son didn’t get a receipt but then I thought ok it’s a Friday might be busy. Got to the restaurant with my food informed him my 5 year old was hungry and I knew an egg roll was missing. I initially wanted to just correct the order until I realized he charged my son $15 for the dry noodles you add as a topping to your soup, when he had picked up the order. I was extremely upset. Who charges a kid $15 without telling him the price?? At that point I asked for a refund and guess what?? He charged me $16 for an egg roll and a spoon of rice. Wow!! Payed over 50 bucks just to get the wrong order, my kid was low balled for dry noodles and then they have the nerve to charge $16 for an egg roll and spoon of rice smh!! I’m beyond disappointed.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE the shrimp egg foo young! Hubby likes various items on the menu, we have NEVER been disappointed, been customers for 7 years. Excellent customer service and Ronald is the very best, simply adore him.
She has been here forever! Small town grew with us. Thanks Yuyin and family for all the amazing food.Food: 5/5
Stopped by on a whim. The restaurant itself is closed but there is a takeout window. We ordered two dishes and it cost me $25. The chicken chow mei and the shrimp fried rice are both mediocre in taste. There is really nothing special about it. A young man took our order, and was kind, and the food was ready within minutes. Honestly , I would probably not go back. Far East Fusion on Central Ave is by far way better. The shrimp fried rice is lacking in veggies, however there are plenty of small shrimp! I will say, the food is average, the service is nice, there’s nothing wrong with it, but there’s nothing special about it either.
Never had a bad experience until tonight. Placed an order at 7 and was told it would be 15 mins. 54 mins later we got our order. Soup was cold. What makes it worse, people who walked up and ordered while we waited got their food before us. Maybe it's time to place a help wanted sign cause it has never taken this long before.
