Guitar Center

Was in 4/17/23 with my family. Spent 2 hours there and no employee asked if they could help us. They were being paid to stand around and talk to each other. My son was looking at guitars and I was looking for drums. Some drums were not even hooked up to amps. One of the employees, a very slender young lady that looks like a fashion model, came into the drum room, fooled with some drum track that was playing and left without even trying to help me! I’ve never experienced customer service this lousy at a music store before. I’m not going to beg anyone to take my money. They definitely lost a sale there. Maybe they met their sales goal for the day and didn’t care about customer service. I’ll try Amazon.

They don't seem to know there inventory so do your home work on wha ever your looking to buy because they have no info they should be replaced with robots wait they might be on the other hand you can grab whatever plug in and jam lol

Staff were great. I went to price electronic and acoustic drum sets and pick up drum accessories. I'm excited to take drum lessons next week.

Andrew was SO helpful in restringing a bass. He walked me through the different types of string, did a same day repair, and was kind throughout everything. I never felt rushed or a burden for my little knowledge. I would urge his manager to give him a raise because you don’t want to lose him as a worker!

My kid is taking guitar lessons and loves it. The instructor is knowledgeable, patient and very cool.

I recently purchased an Epiphone Player Pack from this location. Unfortunately, one of the strings broke; it’s no problem, it happens. Andrew was kind and helpful in replacing the string and greatly appreciated his help and the rest of the staff at this location. I’ll definitely be a returning customer.

Paul is the man! Had an issue with and online order. Shot them a call. Chase was super friendly and got me over to Paul. Paul quickly resolved the issue for me and sent me on my way. Not all Guitar Centers are the same, but these guys have empathy for players. Will purchase from here again!

We went to the Guitar Center in Dayton, OH the evening of Feb 11, 2023, to buy a guitar for my wife. We had the good fortune to have John as our sales associate. We didn’t get his last name. But he made the guitar-buying experience very pleasant and easy. We had a specific model in mind, which the Guitar Center app assured us was in stock. That turned out not to be the case. But John showed us a very suitable alternative. Then he let my wife try different models and decide on which felt best to her. At no time did we feel hurried, he let us take our time to decide. And I might add that the store was quite busy at the time, requiring him to multitask. But he was the epitome of grace under pressure. We ended up buying the model he recommended as well as an amp and other supplies. We’ll gladly go back to see John for any future gear needs. Guitar Center is lucky to have such a fantastic associate!

Great place to get your musical gear. I was greeted immediately. That's awesome. They had ROTO Sounds Bass stings I was looking for. Thanks to the staff for helping me. And being so friendly.

I love how the sales people are really accommodating and relatable. They understand that most struggling musicians don't have a lot of money, know what they want, and don't like sales pressure. They are extremely professional and friendly. Lacey is one of the best drum department people I have met. She helped me find most of my hardware without breaking the bank.
