It's a great spot for all things musical. We found this gem when visiting, and we needed to get a part fixed on our guitar. The staff is fantastic! A great selection of guitars, electric and acoustic.
This location has terrible customer service and is poorly staffed. On my last 2 visits, I have taken items to the counter to purchase and wound up returning over $200 in purchases back to the shelves and leaving because no one was available at any store register to pay for my items. Even after milling around the registers for over 5 minutes each time, no associates appeared to assist. The service has been poor here for years with no one available to assist or answer questions. I can only imagine the amount of business that is lost here by not having the registers manned or associates on the floor. I will not be returning.
Look, man.. I've been to a lot of music stores, and talked to a lot of guitar center and other music representatives. My local guitar center has decent ones, but I'm writing this review specifically to commend Nathan at the Alpharetta location. I had been searching for a specific amp for quite some time and managed to find a used one online at his store. This dude went above and beyond to answer my questions and make sure I was informed about the quality of the equipment I was purchasing. After checking out it's condition and consulting another representative who had experience playing the equipment, I was sold. I tried to place my order online, but the website was having issues at the time so I called back and placed my order with him. As it turns out, his system was giving him trouble as well so he called me back just to MAKE SURE my order went through and I was taken care of. That's rad. And he was super nice about it the whole time. Let's be honest, finding a good representative to handle things in such a professional manner in any job, let alone in music, is unfortunately few and far between. I'm from Louisiana, and I don't know this dude but Nathan gets a 10/10, and you should probably give him a raise.
the most unprofessional attitude of the employee. I wanted to buy a guitar at a discount, he didn't sell me because it was broken, yes! Of course! that's why it's on sale! but I left with nothing. i will go back there and unless he screws it up again i will not leave the store without the manager
Really awesome customer service .i worked with tanner and he helped me find a great Semi hollow for my performances . Awesome place
I'll never go to a guitar center again. I drove nearly 45 minutes to this location just to buy a cable and when I asked the employee behind the counter for the specific cable, he didn't even look and said "nah, we don't have that" so I looked it up on the GC app and showed him that it says they have a few in stock and he pointed at a giant box of cables behind him and said "oh, yeah they're probably in that box there but I'm busy and I'm not going to just walk away from what I'm doing to get that for you." I explained that I drove a long way just to get that cable and he again stated that he's not going to just walk away from what he was doing so I just walked out. I've never had an experience like this at Guitar Center and have bought a lot of stuff from there but after this, I'll probably never go back.
Nice guys, but they have a solemn obligation to NOT answer the phone no matter what time you try to call. Makes it VERY difficult to do business with them
After being sold what was supposed to be a new drum set by the Kennesaw store then driving out to Alpharetta to find there were only open boxes available, I was definitely frustrated, however Nick, Shane and Jason did everything in their power to rectify the situation and made sure we were taken care of.
It’s guitar center. I figure it was my own fault for buying anything more than picks or strings from guiTarget, but I bought a brand new Yamaha a/e to bring it home and find the electronics were completely nonfunctional. Never heard of a music shop that doesn’t test its gear— though it is a stretch to call guitar center a music shop. Thanks for the memories guiTarget.
Great location to get product knowledge! Tanner helped pickout some streaming gear and they are very understanding when it comes to questions and inquiries about tech equipment. Stopby and ask away. Very impressive on selection and easy to work with.
