The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating to our situation. Excellent grounds with a view of the water and beach access. We didn’t swim, but our dogs loved the freedom; there was a steep cliff closing in the beach, so they could only stay on the beach… would recommend for a night or two on your way through the area. Close to Pugwash, Wallace bridge, and Tatamagouche. Nearby activities: Pugwash, tatamagouche, wallace. Safety: Clean and safe, lots of seasonal spots.
Greated by the owner when we arrived. He was the nicest gentleman one could ever met. The views of the ocean were absolutely spectacular. All the sites face the water view. I hope to someday return. I highly recommend this campsite.Service: 5/5
Super view. Sunset and sunrise on the sea. quiet relax naice people all conected on side , have camping side too. Bathrooms all clean nice. ThankService: 5/5
The owner was extremely accommodating sweet. We stayed at an electric site by the water. As this was an rv park we didn’t have the proper plug to convert from 30 - 120. But there were showers and flushing toilets, so for one night was not an issue. The sunset was gorgeous and walking on the sand during low tide was fascinating. Highly recommend.
Stayed two weeks in August at a three-way site, view was amazing, quite a few stairs to the beach but well worth it, water was nice and warm. We lucked out with weather and the staff very accommodating! Definitely would book againService: 5/5
Campground is nice. Free showers is a plus. Small store with snacks firewood and ice. Small and not real crowded. Barely any tents which is what I use. Playground and washrooms are right in front of tent sites so you can easily keep an eye on young ones. Only cons I have is there's quite a late arrival time compared to other campgrounds. If you're tenting you almost lose your whole first day after you arrive and set up. Only other downfall is the beach isn't the nicest and the 100ft ladder is not for small kids. But still one of my favourites.
This place has apparently been let go. Bathrooms are not kept up or cleaned. Floors and walls are painted plywood, paint is peeling. Mats next to showers had not been pulled and washed in a long time. Surfaces in the shower were coated with insect droppings from the open ceiling above. Our site was nowhere near level, the electrical supply was screwed into rotted wood with the result that the supply box was hanging at an angle by one screw. The dump station is located to your right as you are leaving, so in order to dump, you need to turn around, dump, then turn around again. On the other hand, the grounds are nice, the views of the Strait are nice, and the staff were friendly.
This place is a hidden treasure. We ended there because there was no sites at Amherst Shores Provincial park. They still had 7 tent spots available when we arrived. The place is well kept. The tent sites were decent size with some shade. The beach is nice and the view spectacular.
Gulf Shore is a fantastic place to set up a tent! The stairs down to the shore provide a great way to explore the shoreline. The views across the Northumberland Strait are fantastic. Highly recommended.
Right on the water of the Gulf Shore. Excellent wifi and clean washrooms. The views are stunning and the grounds are meticulously maintained. Short drive into Pugwash for supplies and Liquor store. Reasonably priced for tenting or RV's
